    They really don't have much to trade. If anything, OKC got a ton of value for Westbrook, now they can technically trade CP3 to Miami for an expiring Dragic and shed salary even quicker and they won't really need to trade any actual assets to OKC since that CP3 contract is a negative. It's a win win in my book.

    I'm sad Chris Paul is leaving Houston, I didn't want him to be traded despite his huge contract. I wanted a competent PG as a backup for him. Rivers is a combo guard.

    Nevertheless, there was no other choice, Westbrook is four years younger than him. The gamble had to be done. I give Morey a lot of credit for making this trade.

    We now have the best backcourt in the World! Harden, WB, Gordon and Rivers are the best/deepest guard rotation in the league. We have a few more spots to fill, but the beauty of this deal is we only lose CP3 from our rotation. We kept our core to either keep running or look for other talent.

    WB is not my kind of PG, but he's absolutely elite athlete who pushes the pace harder than anyone. He also brings an intensity/edge this team needs to take it to the next level. His shooting is inconsistent and he can create chaos with his turnovers at time, but he won't disappear and he won't hide.

    He's an LA guy like James and they apparently have a great relationship--Is this what James meant at the end of the year? I don't know, who would have guessed the George trade would open this up.

    Since you mentioned Rivers, I will say this. I hated the guy until he became a Rocket and played his heart out for the team. I'll wait and see if Russell can have a similar effect on me when the games count for real. I remain skeptical.

    My initial thought when I heard this was to be pissed off. After thinking about it for a little while, it is not as bad as I first thought. CP3 is on the down side of his career and fell off quite a bit this year not to mention he is very fragile. Westbrook is younger. We didn't have to trade away any role players. This has a lot of potential to be really good or really bad. I will hope for the best.

    What is the waiting period before this hypothetical trade could take place?
    Chris shouldn't be on a rebuilding team like OKC.

    Good to know the Heat prefer Westbrook. Maybe we can trade Westbrook to the Heat for CP3, two picks and two pick swaps by the deadline.

    I like CP3. I liked him on the Rockets. But if we had to trade for Westbrook, I’m glad we kept our depth otherwise.

    EGO wants to be here. Clint we need. Sooooo.....I’m ready to see what happens.
