This is Morey's new thing, let's play 4 guards and a big. You can't defend or defensive rebound. If you're not effective on offense then you get hammered. No size on the wing, even on the summer league squad. It's really dumb.

RELAX. It's summer league for a reason.
They're only trying to get a look at these guys. Sheeesh
It's not first round of the actual playoffs.
The SL season means NOTHING. A win means nothing and a loss means nothing

How far he shoots some of his 3's are ridiculous. He showed more of his flaws today, on top of his awful defense (just due to his size), dude can't drive at all really, and is a bad decision maker/executer on drive and kicks as well. That's a pretty bad flaw. His 5 feet beyond the arc 3's are super entertaining, but the lack of D and ability to take it to the hole are GIANT issues for him ever becoming a rotation player.

You are right but if the system works success should be replicated at all levels. Example Princeton offense works in both college and NBA. If SL players cant implement the system successfully and get blowm out every game that tells you the system we are running is garbage and all our wins come from the talent in the team rather than the offensive system they use.

Or it means that the talent level of this particular team isn't very good. Do you think the current summer league team would be successful running any system?

3 of these guys tore up SL and had a winning record under Nick Nurse so if they suck a year later then thats due to Rox system and development.

The same guys who set up this system are also the ones who recruited these guys like why did we hold on to Gary Clark and Choizza? We wasted roster spots on these guys and they suck ass. Vincent Edwards was retained last year despite not playing a single SL game he hasnt done anything with his year as a Rocket, missed all his shots last game got a DNP-total scrub this game. If you think they suck then I agree with you but the question why the Rox FO waste their time and resource with a bunch of scrubs?

It seems that Morey needed Hinkie and Rosas to do their magic without them his scouting and talent acquisition has gone down the drain.

I'd definitely keep him, that range is even deep for NBA 3pt range and that speed will get you some 7 seconds or less buckets.

I’m okay with Gary Clark being at the end of the bench but Choizza and Edwards are definitely wasted roster spots.

I’m not seeing it. He’s struggled on nearly every drive he’s made, most drives lead to bricked layups or turnovers.

It's tough to say that a bunch of scrubs from random levels brought together for a week should be able to execute a system. It's glorified YMCA ball with a few guys who should know better. A lot of guys are used to playing a specific role in college or foreign league and are now having to create shots in a disjointed game with guys whose tendencies they don't know.

This is such nonsense. Have you ever coached the Princeton to new people? These guys have had a few practices to play in our system, when usually it takes months and even years to master a system. There is no way in hell you are getting an accurate representation of how successful the system is.

So you're telling me after over a year of GLeague Hartenstein, Clark and Adel have only had a few practices in the system? Hartenstein's been playing in RGV since 2017 btw.

Clemens for example has outplayed Adel and Clark every single game so far despite it being his first time playing in such a system. If the system works then why is the first time dude outplaying 2nd time SL and GLeague guys?
