Freaking LeBron at point guard -- the position he was born to play -- surrounded by tall athletic freaks at every position. This is going to be the nightmare lineup for the league to deal with after the Hamptons 5 disbanded.

    LeBron -- 6′ 8″
    Green -- 6′ 6″
    Kuzma -- 6′ 9″
    Davis -- 6′ 10″
    Cousins -- 6′ 11″

LeBron will truck right through every puny little point guard that has to defend him and if you switch a wing on LeBron, then Kuzma has a huge mismatch to exploit. Man, If Cousins can return to even 80% of his former self, the Lakers are going to be very hard to beat.

I love my dude Beverly, but LeBron is gonna freight truck right down the middle on him. No disrespect to Pat the ultimate fighter, but LeBron is just a genetic freak that God only sends down to earth once every 50 years.

Meh. We’ll see if his body can hold up this year. I imagine a worse shooting harden in damn tony’s first season with a much better surrounding cast. I’m predicting a low to mid 50 win team from the lakers. The west is going to be brutal.

    Pat Bev can guard DGreen
    Kawhi can guard LeBron
    PG13 can guard Kuzma
    J.Green can guard AD

Point guard would take Green in this case. Green has no offensive ability other than spot up 3.

There are two sides of the court.

While James can go around or through point guards, he can no longer keep up with point guards.

If Green plays like he did last year, he is a perfect foil for LeBron. However keep in mind that Green had a career year last year, the three prior years he didn’t crack 40% from the field. If that version of Green shows up, the Lakers will have issues shooting the ball outside.

I gotta see what that's going to look like.

Lebron has already been the defacto PG for most of his career anyways. I'm more interested in how they will defend with that lineup. They could put Green on the opposing PG, but either way Lebron is likely going to be defending a guard of some sort and that means more movement on the defensive end which means less rest (unless he's playing the rockets).

You can't be serious about anyone on the Clippers like Green or Harrell being able to guard freaking Anthony Davis one-on-one?

See that's why this Lakers lineup is a nightmare to defend.

You spend two All-NBA defenders in Kawhi and George guarding LeBron and Kuzma, but then leave Davis open to exploit one-on-one matchups -- a luxury he never had in New Orleans with the constant double teams. Then, there's Boogie smiling across the paint for an easy dunk if you send help.

    Take the Rockets for example.

    Paul vs. LeBron
    Harden vs. Green
    Gordon vs. Kuzma
    Tucker vs. Davis
    Capela vs.Cousins

Immediately you have to put Paul on Green. Then, assuming our best defender Tucker is on LeBron. That leaves either Gordon or Harden to defend Davis one-on-one who will destroy them with his freakish size and athleticism.

This is why I've been continuously advocating for the Rockets to acquire a solid 3-and-D wing to matchup better with the LeBron, Kawhi, George lineups in the West.

Lebron definitely showed signs of age last season.

My prediction- we are going to see a pretty drastic decline in his play this year.

I predict the opposite. He just had the longest summer he's had in over a decade. He also has a legit team and a reason to want to ball again. He'll be fine
