damn clipps are STACKED. i honestly believe this signing just pushes tilman even further into salary dump mode now. that team is fully decked from front to back and he's gotta be thinking to himself might as well save some more money now if the odds of winning a title are nowhere near in our favor
Been a long Morey supporter but hes been absolutely ass last couple years. That could change but there are no FAs that matter anymore and I'm not sure how he is going to acquire another star. Does he have to acquire a star ? Why not a nice rotation guy who fits ?
again this is a sign of something problematic. either: 1) the rockets don't intend on paying tax and won't offer anyone more than the $2.2M remaining of the TMLE. 2) the rockets are offering the $5.7M remaining of the NTMLE but free agents are choosing to go elsewhere. its easier to assume 1 is true instead of 2. i don't think the rockets would strike out on all the MLE free agents they wanted.
I'm rest assured of nothing after last year. I thought for sure the Knight contract would be flipped for a useful player last year, it wasn't. I thought for sure the Rockets would use their MLE at some point last year, they didn't. The Rockets could have used that MLE money on House last year and chased several guys with their full NT-MLE this year. They could be targeting guys like Gallo with Anderson's contract and the player they could have picked in the first round this year. I have no faith in the Rockets being aggressive under new ownership based on the past year.
The problem now is does a trade for Iggy, as our last move to improve the team, even move the needle enough? Does gutting the team for Westbrook (a terrible fit) or Love (who probably can’t stay on the floor), actually make us better? We are currently the same team that lost to a Durant-less Warriors in game 6. Meanwhile, GSW may actually be better (than the team they were in game 6) and at least 4 other teams in the western conference have all improved significantly.
Clippers depth chart looks pretty strong. Bev / Lou Williams Shamet / McGruder Kawhi / Harkless PG13 / J. Green Zubac / Harrell They've also got their last 2 first round picks - Jerome Robinson (#13 overall in 2018) and Mfiondu Kabengele (who has looked very good in summer league).
jerry west is the roster building king. kinda ironic that he's there now while we're stuck with donald sterling part deux
Dont really blame him, he was on a team that no one expected to make the playoffs that pushed the Warriors to a game 6.. and added Kawhi and Paul George. Good for him. Still, the rockets must make something happen, and adding Tyson Chandler is NOT something
Some of u guys have sht reading comprehension if u think this one is our fault. Man turn down bigger contract to stay.
Well according to the CARMELO ratings he is a scrub - you would do better acquiring Evan "don't google my last name" Fournier. Actually, House and Clark are both ranked higher than Green. Even other statistical measures show the same "don't over-react on this guy" measures for Green - he is for all statistical purposes(VORP) your average replacement level player at this point in his career although he did have a good year in Memphis 3 years ago which is probably the JaMychal Green we would all be hoping for but two years later that guy hasn't showed back up. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/carmelo/jamychal-green/ Funny - over the next 5 years CARMELO says JaMychal Green is worth -$11mill to whatever team pays him over the next 5 years. Ooops...
