Wouldnt mind trying the ball hog lineup it for a year and if things don't work out, maybe its time. Would be sad to see Daryl go but won't miss the constant false promises, media leaks and "Houston is interested in everyone" narrative. Fireworks Tad needs to go first in my opinion.
Yeah. Basically. The problem I see here is two fold. The first is that Morey and MDA are arrogant enough to think they can improve his shot selection and the number of shots he takes. Second, Tillman wants a star!!! So he can make some Trump like boast to the media and fans about how Westbrook > Butler and the Rockets are willing a title this year. Just really short sighted. All the draft picks will be gone....... we will lose Capela, Tucker and Gordon..... Better yet, a week ago it could have been somewhat feasible to add 2-3 solid role players from free agency (like every other team in the West did). Now the Rockets would be able to add? Tyson Chandler? Lance Stephenson? Vince Carter? Thabo Sefolosa? Maybe they talk the corpse of Pau Gasol to sign for the minimum? We would have: C - Hartenstein PF-Clark SF- Harden/House SG-Westbrook/Green PG-Paul/Rivers I don't even consider Clark an NBA player..... so that gives us 6 NBA players and 5 rotation caliber players (assuming House is legit). Hartenstein would have to be ready, unless the Rockets decide to go for the daily double and get Noah and Chandler to man the middle. Who plays the 4? Pau Gasol? Just how horrendously bad would the defense be with out a real C, PF and Westbrook playing defense? To anyone thinking that the Rockets could just add low cost depth from the Thunder in the trade, there really isn't any available except Ferguson, who really hasn't been a good player.
Lol it is no real issue bro. Idk what u talking bout. It's always a issue if u lose. I figure people that dont play sports think it's a real issue lol. Again Kobe shaq hell even lbj wade had issues at first. Where was these issues between them the first year win u know they was one game from a championship. That's what kills me. People forget year one we was unbeatable. So now they cant at together lol. Bs
Haha... Too bad CP will be exhausted by the 4th quarter and Harden won't take any shots...so Westbrook will be happy to fill the role of closer. But its whatever at this point, the Rockets are a cornered desperate animal.
U serious? They play against scrubs in the Olympics, and they only have to play together for a few weeks... next u gonna tell me how it’s all good because they play together in the All-Star game
Well Paul and Harden are the shooters. I would look to have Westbrook bring the ball up the floor and look to pass to them. The only Morey would have to do is look to fill out the roster with more 3 and D type players. They have already started with the signings of Rivers and GG.
I guess I am in the minority on this. WIth D'Antoni's offensive style the Rockets could attack, attack, attack with this Harden/Westbrook/CP3 trio. The HUGE QUESTION MARK is can/could they play together as a team? This is the unknown and biggest fear factor on all Rocket fan minds. Questions for the contract/salary nerds - Is is possible to restructure any/all the ridiculous contracts in order to acquire the likes of an Iggy and maybe a few other quality support/bench players?
@Nook it couldn’t be for more than Shump + cheap guys + Gordon realistically. Russ has negative value. If we go for it, I’m basically this all year just watching the slow motion train wreck. At least it’s ummm entertaining?
It worked when James Harden was willing to be the best sixth man in the league. You think Chris Paul is going to accept a bench role to accommodate Westbrook?
So, whine about Harden never having true stars next to him, then be appalled at the prospect of actually getting one? Why? I say, bring it.
I think Harden needs to play of the ball a lil bit and be more efficient he's not a true point he's a SG
