    Why is Erman even available???

Gentry must be nuts to have let him go.

Morey needs to snatch him up pronto, he even has Celtics connection!!!

That is what I mean. Morey loves the BOS connections.

Erman is considered a mini Thibs and Steph, Klay and Draymond all rave about his defensive genius.

Well, one thing they got in common. Brad Stevens also could not get it done.

I think statistics are overrated at this point, statistics won't get major stars to join you. Relationships do that.

Relationships and cap room, plus good trade assets. The glam cities with big markets always have the edge. Nevertheless, the Spurs have proven to be a very successful model, for teams with relatively small markets.

We will see about the Spurs.

Popovich, Buford cannot live forever, can't they?

I'm not a Spurs fan, and never have been one. I'm a die hard Houston Rocket fan, but SAS have build a solid organization. They never collapse, even with less talent. Our team should develop a better system along with having great talent.

I just dun think they can do it forever, I researched, they had Gervin but after Gervin some time passed until they got Admiral Robinson.

They were not that great during that time.

3-4 years of bad seasons during the 80s.

They are just mortals without a clear superstar. Kudos!

You're right. The Admiral got exposed by the Dream too. They tanked and got lucky with Tim Duncan.

Geography is what gets major stars to join your team most the time.

I agree. But with Turner here as the lead defensive assistant would Erman come here? Why is Erman leaving the Pels?

I don’t know why he left the Pelicans for sure. My guess is his personality led to conflicts. If I were the owner I would bring him on as an associate head coach and extend MDA. As for Turner he can work under Erman or he can be paid not to coach.

Erman would be a potential successor to MDA, works hard and is very good at his job. Having worked under Gentry he would know what to expect under MDA.

Then again I haven’t made billions of dollars in a tough industry like Tillman and I highly doubt I am as bright as Daryl Morey.

We replaced him with a lesser coach because Tilman has too much pride.

This is mainly a comment on the "Relationships get stars to join you".

The Spurs model has proven to work with their homegrown stars but, outside of Aldridge, who have they attracted to SA?
