Shumpert was ass after we got him and Iggy waxed us for 17 in a win-or-go-home. We went home.

    But okay.

Would be great, but this offseason sucks. I don’t expect anything that good to happen for us.

I get the frustration especially with moves made by other teams, but gotta wait for the right opportunities.

I think the Rockets will find a way to improve the team, just don’t know when or how yet. I’m more than sure Morey is working hard and I’m glad it’s been quiet.

    21.26m in incoming salary for Iggy's 17m ….

I think the biggest question in this is what else (draft picks) you have to send out to make the acquisition.

If its a #1 …. that really limits what you can do later. Hopefully it doesn't cost you that and you have that bullet in the chamber for that potential mid season acquisition.

And got traded like 20 days later. A 36 year old with a broken knee, who won 3 chips over a 6 year stint including finals mvp honors gets unceremoniously dumped why?

Going with the younger/less mileage, cheaper, probably healthier, better shooting player that can still be used as a trade asset mid season if needed.

D'Angelo Russell was valued by the market as a max player.

Iman Shumpert will get the minimum if he isn't part of a S&T.

Hope it only takes 2 second rounders. Save those firsts for an opportunity for a young all star type.

Still say Iggy should be fall back, priority should be Shump SnT for RoCo.

They were DEEP in the tax. Not only that , they will be repeaters this year.

They dropped from potentially paying 170+ to about 142. When you factor in the tax / repeater tax , that's a difference of about 100m.

And, by the deadline, we can aggregate minimum players with that to get to a guy around 25-27 million. If somebody is looking to make an Otto Porter like salary dump we wouldn't need picks. For a real star though I agree that we'd definitely still need picks.
