That’s what I’m saying man. Don’t look at the stats. Go look how he performed the last two years when they knock our asses out of the playoffs.
I think he’d be solid for 1 or 2 seconds. He’s far too old and the contract too short to be valued at a first. The one potential extra benefit is trade filler later in the season, which is why I wouldn’t give up a first to get him. Signing Shump to a 1 year large contract serves same purpose.
I'm confused by posts like this. I just watched so many people here flipping out and adamantly standing opposed to a trade for Jimmy Butler if it included P.J. Tucker. P.J. Tucker will be 35 next season and is also a "no stats all-star". Iggy is that kind of guy.
It’s cf’s. Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t. Everything is an omg that’s an awesome move for everyone else. Not so much here
not sure how we can do this with hard capping or sending out a core player. But if it’s possible to not get hard capped, and not lose a rotational guy, then sure. Our first round picks are cannon fodder
It certainly matters how much he makes because if we can get him then we can get anyone making up to $17m. It's a no from me until the trade deadline. Let's check out other options. He's pointless before the playoffs anyway and we are already a great regular season team.
Yea, word is they are looking to sign Shumpert using bird rights, only for salary filling purposes, then trade him and draft capital for Iggy.
Of course, Morey might just want another expiring contract to use in a trade. The dreaded F wors. Flexibility.
The dog days of CFs slowly passing by. Ready for the regular season and all this speculating nonsense to be over with.
Iggys a bum at this point in his career... If hes our 6th man were screwed Id be all over this! Just like 5 years ago not today....
