[Feigen] Andre Iguodala, JaVale McGee up next on Rockets' wish list

To win a ring we’re going to have to make a major move at some point. Having those draft picks at our disposal will be crucial. Iggy turns 36 this year. He’s in the coast-until-it-matters point in his career. We don’t have the type of depth to play that game.

 

I think hartenstein and clark have potential but the problem is they need playing time to develop you can't get ready for the NBA if all you do is play in G league or get burried at the end of the bench, dantoni just puts them in during garbage minutes so they're never going to be ready for playoff contribution. Really am thinking it's a mistake to let dantoni continue

 

I don’t care what you guys say. A starting lineup with Iguodala-Tucker would be F’ing sick. We desperately need a Vet like Iggy. I’d be ecstatic If we could work Shumpert in there for him.

 

the stats he presents currently are not worth a 1st by any means. im having a hard time tryna convince myself he's a "need" but i see him more as a benefit. if we can get him for cheap, im down.

Iggy accept a trade ? Does he have a No Trade Clause ? I don't see that or a trade kicker in his contract according to Spotrac.

I wouldn't be against giving him another two years on top of the current contract …. anything more than that is highly questionable.

Assuming he doesn't have a trade kicker , it takes 12,888,888.75 in outgoing salary to match his $17,185,185.
That figure is low enough that it doesn't trigger BYC issues for the Rockets in terms of outgoing salary.

Would Memphis really do a S&T for Shumpert and immediately buy him out ? Sure , they save a little money but maybe they could flip him later in the season for something more than a few dollars in cash savings ? (pick / player?)

What stats are you looking at? Dude gets after it. Only difference in his stats from now and 10 years ago is that he shoots WAY less, which is totally fine. Just like PJ Tucker.

I don’t think Iguodala can prevent a trade to Houston but it was more an issue of him being a happy camper. Unfortunately I don’t know the exact numbers but supposedly Rockets have entertained a short extension possibility.

They are trying to get a bidding war going.

 

We can use him to play small ball center.

 

He only reports what Morey finds acceptable and he gets information from Morey. He is very closely connected to the Rockets and if the Rockets want him fired, he is fired. The Chronicle wants to cover the Rockets and wants to report inside information... so they don’t want to piss the Rockets off.

 

He has a 7’0” wingspan and is capable of defending 4,spots on the floor well. He is also an incredibly smart player.

 

I would like a genuine 4 added, but there are limited options out there. Iguodala has a 7’0” wingspan and can defend almost any 4.

 

I'm guessing he hasn't been following the Rockets online that long, anybody who's been on CF/twitter following the Rockets/Feigan closely for a couple of years has to know who Feigen and what he does.

 

What a disgrace of a front office, Morey is literally hoping for McGee and Iggy??!!! Pathetic and that’s it folks, we are done trying to assemble the best possible team during the summer. Good luck rooting for a team who is already in february trying to fail another trade. Ow and Feigen: I thought you were better than this.
