That's right, but maybe they'll try to pull another Lou kind of offer, offer him something around 10M for multiple years, to come off the bench...i don't really think he would turn that down to come here for 6M, but maybe if his role there is not set and we would offer him a starting spot on a contending team who knows...was just wondering about a possible outcome in our favor, although it's obviously unlikely, you know i never had much hope about getting him.

Or what bull**** Morey says to the press.

He'd go from, "We're the favorites in the West," to, "I like our chances," with Fertitta in the background, "Don't abandon me, season ticket holders!"

Damn, more than I thought he could get. I thought he would take the minimum. Good job on his agents

The Rockets have let a number of players go that would have given us excellent depth.

Wilson Chandler would have been excellent of the bench.... he is gone.

Darius Miller is a very good high volume three point shooter that can guard multiple positions in a defense like ours.

He is young, one of the best three point shooters in the NBA and can adequately guard multiple positions.

He can take a high volume of threes and still get 37-41% of them.

    Vet Min guys gone....
    Tolliver
    Vonleh
    Bell
    W. Chandler
    J Green

    etc etc etc

Morey better do something or we're going to look back on this.

Yeah, they are moves at the margins....but that counts too.

Even Jabari is better than him right now, and I don't want Jabari on the Rockets at all.

At least that gave a “reasonable” explanation of why the trade was made at all. I couldn’t figure out why Atlanta did it.

They are moves at the margins until someone gets hurt or under performs.... then they can make the difference between a 1-2 seed and a 5 seed.

I'm still holding out hope for JaMychal Green or Marcus Morris. Adding one of those two guys, keeping Rivers and House, and adding a competent veteran center to replace Nene would still be a halfway decent offseason in my book after the atrocious start.

Yup. It is a long season. Playing health matters. Seeding matters. It is a grind. The Rockets need depth across the board.

Halfway decent? If they add JaMaychal green I'll be ecstatic. That would be a significant piece added to the rotation. It won't be ENOUGH, but it would at least be something positive that would improve the team.

Exactly. I don't like Jeff Green as a starter or a 6th or 7th man, but as a guy you can plug in and know he is PLAYABLE during the season when someone gets hurt, when you need to expand your rotation, etc. I'd be for him. The other guys though like Voleh...I just don't get it. I don't want Tucker playing much 5 in the regular season at all. That's unnecessary abuse. In the playoffs, sure.

I would, too. But you have to balance that immediate feeling of gratification from getting a quality role player for cheap with the media circus that was the D'Antoni contract, overhyped Harden/Paul drama and nonstop BS Jimmy Butler rumors from the first few weeks. At the end of the summer, we'll all feel pretty good about where the roster is at, but this offseason got off to a rough start—and that's being generous.

Lol Jabari is a sixth man or at least a good starter on a losing team.

Parsons is just suck and injured.

Maybe I get proven wrong, but I have no interest in Jabari Parker.
