Sources: Kevin Love has been added on Rockets list

there is absolutely no chance we would lose both of those guys and not get another very very good piece to go along with Love. You could argue that Love is the least valuable asset out of the 3. He's on a bloated contract, he's injury prone and he's the oldest of the bunch.

But, he'd offer a higher ceiling for this team and we would not be hard-capped. It would add a wrinkle to the offense that we've never had and that's one of the best outlet passers in the history of the NBA. We'd be back to 7SOL style play at times and it would make a lot of guys very happy.

Eric is on an expiring deal and coming off an incredible playoff run. Capela is young and under team control for his prime on a below market deal. These guys together are clearly worth more than Love and potentially worth more than Love individually. But the Rockets are probably not winning as is and Love would be a big name to sell tickets and make the product very fun to watch. That said, we'd get another piece from a third team for sure, whether that's a young wing or whether that's a valuable pick that we could flip, I'm not sure.

 

i been thinking about this last night... i want him now. i think he'd be a great addition if we can keep a good 3pt shooter to replace gordon if we gotta move him. love can create on his own, thats exactly what we need imo. more creativity

I think without Nene's salary that would be required to match Love's salary.

I'm surprised that Portland didn't flip Whiteside to Cleveland for Love. Maybe Cleveland doesn't want to just give Love away.

Why are the rockets still leaking out who's "on their list"? To try to make it seem like they're still in the running for some "big" names? To make it seem like they're doing something?

If they havent learned yet with the whole Jimmy Butler thing, telling the media who's on your list doesn't end well if you dont get him.

Be funny if Love became a rocket in a Capela trade.
Love is a upgrade from Capela, and Cavs would probably prefer him over with there youth movement.

The Rockets are always interested in somebody and yet they never come here. I think we're cursed.

 

I really don't know if this would be a good signing or not. He has his own issues to deal with off the court. We may need some additional signings, but let's not appear to be so desperate that we end up signing folks up and regretting it later on. We need to move about smartly, not hastily.

 

I like Love the rebounding machine. Is he still that?
