Tbh i always thought he was going back to L.A but i thought to the Clippers, once they lost on every possible big name to pair with him, that's when i started to get worried about the Lakers, and all the reports are hinting at him signing there so, i won't hold my breath on him going back to the Raptors. His uncle has been working on this for at least one year now.

Congrats to the Lakers. League remains uninteresting and predictable.

A small 15 yr old child beat Venus Williams today at Wimbledon and all she could talk about was Kawhi; she had his dumb New Balance shirt on and everything. His influence and popularity has grown IN TORONTO. Stay in Toronto Kawhi... for the kids beating full grown adults.

No, actually they won’t. We just had the most interesting day of the WHOLE season. LA is not the center of the universe regardless of the bandwagoners and international. People still like LBJ but his is a star that is wearing down. How long do you think other teams fans will take interest with no hope? If you are a Hornets fan are you really paying attention any more? Are the playoffs paying all of the bills? Sadly, we are reaching another time where the stars built in the 2000s are going to disappear with few behind them.

I have to admit that I watched every game from the 1981 Finals forward but lost interest and was too busy traveling for work during that last playoff with Yao. It literally took Harden to bring me back. That is happening in a lot of places because I saw it. Think Cavs and those teams. Teams like Portland and recently Memphis and the resurgence of Milwaukee are what keep the league thriving. It creates the parity perception the NFL has that the NBA doesn’t. I know it’s blasphemy but the Spurs were good for the league.

The era of super teams is completely contrived and there is no struggle to win. People tune out. This is not the 1980s or 1990s super teams that had the aura of being evenly matched at times and had to struggle to improve over years to overcome the greats. There were fewer teams and fewer options for entertainment. The league already commented about resting players and cord cutting across the industry is huge. The same revenue is not going to be there even with gambling. Gambling needs uncertainty. There is no uncertainty.

Remember not long ago baseball and basketball were looking at contraction and the league owned New Orleans. Prospects can change quickly when forecasts are based on the last deal you signed that was wildly overpriced.

Have you considered the time when the league comes to our doorstep to send Harden to the Lakers to replace LBJ? They may not have to but do you think we will get as good a deal as they gave the Pelicans? By then Fertitta, Jr may be the GM.

Hope he goes to Lakers. It's good for NBA ratings and revenue sharing to have a strong Lakers and East Coast rival.

If Kawhi is Lakerbound and that team wins 2 championships, where would that put Leonard in terms of All-Timers? Top 50? Top 25?

That effect is unclear. Maybe nationally televised games featuring the Lakers would see an uptick in ratings but I would expect continued erosion in local broadcasts and an overall decrease in interest in the league.

If he joins the Lakers I hope that Spurs open their mouth about the dirty job that went down over there.

LOL just looked at twitter and people really think they are in the know. Even if he goes to the Lakers, 99% of all those claiming to know what has been said, how meetings went etc. are just full of it. They just want Kawhi to the Lakers.

LOL just throwing it out there sign and trade Harden for Kawhi. Kawhi way better in post season than Harden. Hes a championship caliber player. Probably the best player right now actively at their current health and age.

Remember when the Clips were firing people for saying anything negative about Leonard? Hahahah, good times.

The Sklar brothers had a pretty funny riff this morning, where they imagine Kawhi never making an announcement or even finalizing a deal with a team but just showing up to somebody's workouts in the fall. "Oh, he chose this team!"
