Bobby Marks of ESPN is reporting that the Heat may waive Ryan Anderson

    Barring another roster move (which is certainly possible), Miami would likely have to waive Ryan Anderson and the $15.6M guaranteed portion over three seasons. The waive-and-stretch will likely be necessary for the Heat to stay under the $138.9M tax apron.

    Austin Rivers had offers in $5.7M midlevel range but took the vet minimum from Rockets. “Now that the league is wide open, I just saw an opportunity. You can’t really put a price on happiness. The goal was to come back to Houston all along. I think we have the team to beat.”

    I think most teams would offer him the minimum. And I think he’s end up in an L.A.

    2.6mil. So he took less than half, but with his checkered past of team fit, I can see why he did it. Somebody, I think Bima, said that he took a gamble this year to get paid next year with the early bird rights.
