This time you included more players so technically that trade could work but it still doesn’t easily. Other teams will not want to just take on players. Also I am a little confused now by what this does to help the Butler trade. That deal is separate and you still have to trade an equivalent salary to space to complete that deal. The Whiteside deal solved their hard cap issue so this deal is less important. Roster spots do still matter. For Miami it wouldn’t in this case because they are adding to 15 and below the apron. If the Rockets are operating as a tax team it wouldn’t matter because we could add more. If we use the BAE or the full NT MLE it would be a major problem.
Well, at least Miami also lost Harkless. So, their team is basically: Bam Johnson Winslow Butler Dragic ...and few scrubs. Meh.
Harkless is an expiring contract with $11 million remaining. Brings the Clippers to just around $32.5 mil. remaining in cap space if they keep Pat on his $9.5 million cap hold. Clips might have to waive Ty/Sin to clear full max.
Hahaha so instead of Butler taking a pay cut so they can be competitive he lets the Heat sweat and get rid of every good player. Sweet for the Clippers!
Good **** Butler and Riley I’m going to enjoy watching them get bounced early in the playoffs by the sixers and bucks for the next 4 years.
Dont want to ever hear about butler being a winner or the ultimate competitor. Dude chose to play with a bunch of scrubs.
