Of course he'll get offers, because he's great at cap management and building "playoff" teams, but he's dug a hole in Houston, and I'd like to see a fresh perspective in the front office.
Okay let me try to explain this to you, what exactly does Morey do, that would warrant that comparison?? Hmm you dont like Super star players, you dont like making the playoffs consistently, despite not being allowed to tank. You dont like Championship squads? Sure Daryl has taken some risks, and they have not always panned out. But he always tried to put our team in the best possible possition and hes done a pretty good job so far. You dont know basketball like he does. Period.
The hole was dug when he gave Paul that contract. Now he has no flexibility to make any moves to move the needle for years
Dug a hole, really? We had to resign Chris Paul dude. After the season we had last year, we had no choice. And we nearly beat them this year had we not done cost cutting moves at the dead line. Lol "Fresh Perspective"....lol what. sounds to me like you want change for the sake of it. Lol if you dont got someone better in mind, I dont wanna hear it. Morey takes risk, and Im cool with that.
he did build a championship caliber team just a year ago, so I’ll give him that...it’s been a fail since then tho, and I’m tired of him running his mouth
LOL...shut up....Not getting Butler is a blessing in disguise. Committing Max money to a high milage, injury prone, selfish dude would not have been a good mix for this team. The power balance in the NBA is finally equal for the most part and the Rockets championship window just creaked open a little bit more. The Rockets can def run is back and have a legitimate shot to winning it all next year. Im so happy the Rockets didnt trade Gordon (our xfactor) and Clint and gut this team for Butler. It is going to be a blessing in disguise and you guys will know it soon. The Rockets still in the market to made trades and also signing players using their BAE and MLE.
Im not coming around bro at all. As long as Morey is here, I know our team can be successful, no matter how good a gm is, not everything is under his control and that is the truth people should understand.
A lot of people are really overreacting. What do you expect the front office to say, "Nobody will sign with us because Miami is a better party scene"? Rockets front office tried their best, but ultimately, it wasn't an auction. Butler CHOSE Miami. If Morey had been more tight-lipped, it would change nothing. Butler signed with the first team he met, on the first day. What, now Capela has hurt feelings? He has 80 million distractions from those feelings. Morey is still a top 5 GM in the league and the Rockets have been very competitive since we've got him. Also, Harris is making 36 million, Horford 27, CP3 doesn't look as bad all of a sudden. Still bad, just not as bad.
Don't blame Morey for not getting Jimmy. Jimmy being Jimmy. Remember we have next year to play again.
We were contenders. We made it to conference finals. We should've beat the Warriors twice. How many other GMs have set up their team to do this? We went all in which cost us our flexibility now. What exactly are you guys expecting? I still think we have a solid team.
I am part of the group mocking the idiots for wanting Morey's head. It's honestly cute how dumb people are.
