it was always a long shot. we have a chance. seems like the trade is in place IF jimmy choses houston. if he doesn't I think we still make that capela to Boston trade (probably for smart and Boston's pick). use the NTMLE to add to our depth, and maybe look for an ego trade. either way we will return a contending roster next season with or without jimmy.
Of course, it's entertaining for a lot of posters. Why do you think people come here to post random trade ideas, push agendas about coaches/gms/players, etc and wait to be fed tidbits of information from insiders (real or not)? This is a discussion board dedicated to a professional sports team that is part of the entertainment industry. I'm not sure what the hell you are talking about with "b****-ass" behavior but I guess you think I'm cheering against the team. If I was cheering against the Rockets, I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't invest my time into anything I didn't feel connected to. That being said, I know that this team's ability to improve its roster is limited. We don't have many assets outside of our top player and space to add salary is limited. I hope Butler chooses us, but I've always doubted that he would from the get-go. Know you and I both know that this board will meltdown if/when Butler doesn't come here. Clutchfans is always like that. Fans come here to vent. Just look at the last damn trade deadline. We all knew that this team had little to no real assets to upgrade the roster with yet when a game-changing piece didn't come to Houston this board crashed due to people logging on the whine and complain about not getting a championship piece lol.
Steph Curry flying to New York to meet Durant and try to convince him to stay. It would be nice if harden AND cp3 attend the meeting with jimmy to convince him to agree to a deal with us, make him feel wanted and most importantly, convince him he can get paid AND get a ring.
That is a good point. I was listening on the radio and they were clowning Harden for not being in the country while all his HOF contemporaries like Steph were back from their Asia trips recruiting.
