You can expect more of this. He's a giant punching bag for every candidate to get a boost off of.

Bernie will get it next, although that goal post is a lot higher.

Well, it looks like you might be right. I have stated repeatedly in the other thread that he does not look like he really wants to do this, and I think that he looked that way again last night. He was going through the motions. He looks tired and maybe a bit like a deer in the headlights. I cannot imagine that his performance last night inspired very much confidence from his supporters up to this point. I would expect many of those people to start reconsidering that support.

That being said, the establishment was behind him early, and that counts for a lot, especially among Democrat voters, as we saw with Hillary's coronation in 2016. And there are so many candidates, it is not clear who it is that can garner enough support to beat him.

Nevertheless, I am with you. I do not see him making it to the finish line at this point. Yet again.

Yes ruthless inauthentic lawyer lady taking on and debating Trump worked well in 2016. I mean sure, she can do better but it is far from a given..

So your theory is that Hillary clowned Trump too hard in 2016 and they need somebody who is more likely to not send him off sputtering incoherently

This is the hard uncut stupid

Yes, he's more gullible and less able to think on his feet.

I agree with this mainly your Harris and Biden comments.

I don't see why NBC would maker an intentional plan to sideline yang, why would that be?

NBC does seem to have an agenda based on their baseless sensationalism headlines (that can become self fulfilling prophecies)

But Andrew Young should've been motioning his camp to get the mic issue fixed - even a recording of him tapping on his mic would have easily validated his claim. Was there no phones/cameras allowed in the room besides NBC? He had two hours to address this (didn't he tweet during the debates??).
Seems like a BS excuse to me.. no racist

I don't appreciate your sarcasm and name calling. I was talking about identity politics optics. You barely made a sensible retort. Are you saying Trump is prone to sputter incoherently and Clinton wasn't able to get him to do so? Can you point me where I could see him being made a fool of in a debate setting (that would be fun to see). Thanks

I totally agree with you about sensationalist headlines and the manufactured drama just don't see what they gain from working against Yang.

Of course it's not an issue. She brought that up to gain black voters. I don't fault her for telling her story and history. But attacking Biden while doing it is a cheap shot. And I didn't think it was effective. People knows who's Biden and that attack weaken her personal story. At the end, I think it will hurt both of them.

Yeah she does give me a Hillary vibe, never really thought of that.

    Interesting.

i agree and her doubling down on it while going on the after shows was a bad look.

with that said Biden should have responded much better he could have flipped the script and come out of that exchange looking stronger.

He should've expected an attack from her on race and he should've known that such attack can cause bad look and be damaging. He is too cocky or has bad advisors..

I have to admit these debates have been pretty disappointing, I thought more of the candidates had some substance and a message that could inspire.

i am also disappointed that it seems the democrats are just as tribal as in 2016 and if their preferred candidate does not get nominated they will either vote 3rd party or not vote out of spite
