rockets are clearly working to finding a way to get him here. I still don't believe he'll be here in the end. prove me wrong JB and turn down all these other teams :)

I still think this "getting him in FA" thing is a bit of a front .

Sure the rockets Might unload Clint , Gordon, and PJ to clear space/ gather assets for a trade ....

But it's going to require other teams , and teams striking out in FA to have the cap avaialabe to absorb those contracts .

Hopefully this noise convinces philly to trade him vs lose him for nothing . But we really need Jimmy to opt in .

We showed good faith by following through on CP3's max .

I think it's too difficult a situation to nab him at full price this year .

Man, S+T really would screw us with the hard cap. If it doesn't work out, Butler demanding a S+T over an opt-in and trade would probably make him 10x more hated on here than Chris Paul for being 'greedy'

Hope Morey brings the Ipads to the Butler meeting.

I think he can still be cheap and want to trade fire Butler. Star power sells tickets. Doesn't remove the face that he traded 2 first round picks and a two year contract for cap relief.

Yea that's not even remotely accurate. Guy gets GMs to do pod casts with him 1 on 1. He is one of the most connected people in the industry.

My thoughts exactly. It's all a smokescreen.

You're going to hate on a guy in an injury-prone career that can end at any time for refusing to sign for ONE year when plenty of teams will offer him four for a lot more money?

I mean, come on...there's delusionally assuming Butler is 100% determined to play in Houston, and then there's this.

We will have no depth whatsoever. Straight minimum contracts to fill the rest of the roster.

It should be a difficult decision for Kawhi... to pack up a ring that he just won to try and rebuild a contender with the Clippers.

They've always been a potential destination for top free agents but they've always been the farthest #2 to the Lakers in terms of signing all-star free agents.

Listen, I'm with you but it's a true big three, the third option is always taking a hit on stats in any of these teams and with CP3 he's already there where it won't matter.

I'm vehemently against hard capping in any trade for Jimmy. I think it will make year one a wash, which is coincidentally our best chance at winning since 2015, with the wide openness of the league.

At this pace Jimmy Butler is a Rocket tomorrow but things can stall.

I have yet to witness Morey trading 3 major players for assets. Seeing is believing.
