Wow. Well, I hope it works out for him. I looked at the 2020 free agents and there's not a lot of attractive options there, and it looks like a lot of teams will have money as they finally get off the awful contracts given out in the 2016 offseason. But, I suppose his agent knows better than I do.
He averaged 14.2 ppg for the season, it's hard for me to believe he'll get more than his player option but I guess he just wants a long term deal.
