    The Rockets and Celtics discussed Horford right after the season ended (other players as well). Horford would sign an extension. A very smart and good player but he isn’t young. I’m still skeptical because Mrs. Horford has no desire to leave New England area.

    I'm personally scarred about players at 33 signing an extension with us. Jesus why can't it be a player that's 23 signing an extension with us.

    I’m not a big fan of older players either, but the Rockets are essentially getting a discount because they are older. Also if the Rockets make a move for Horford, they are going all in now and will likely be rebuilding in a few seasons.

    Pros:

    -Stretches our offense (3 point shooting)
    -Good in pick and roll/pop
    -Decent defender

    Cons:
    -Mental midget
    -Age (33)
    -Not very athletic

    I am not very concerned about age because his productivity should fall within the window of opportunity for the way this team is built currently.

    However, we will be adding another mental midget of a player to this mentally fragile team.

    Also, I wouldn't be confortable with just him as the sole paint protector of the team, assuming Capela would be part of the deal. We would need to add another legit shot blocker.

    Use shumpert snt as filler, you can deal capela for any player.

    Capela and shumpert 20 million for steph curry.
