The media portraits Kerr as a great coach, I can’t wait to see what’s his record gonna be next year without Durant for sure and maybe Thompson.
I said this from the start. He didnt build that team he just took it over then got an allstar in KD couple years later to keep it going. They try give curry and Kerr the credit for how the NBA is played today when Dantoni has been playing fast pace ball since the suns where Kerr got it from. And the Rockets been playing the way the warriors have since before they did. They just had the right players to do it.
I hate kerr as much as the next guy but he outcoached dantony and was the difference in 4th quarter against rockets. Last 8 of 10 possession against rockets in 4th were scores. Kerr may not be red auerbach but he coached well here:
They will continue to be really good. The way that team played with all the injuries and lack of depth was pretty impressive. They swept the Blazers and closed out the Rockets on the road. They are resilient. As long as Curry and Green can stay healthy for the most part, I think they can still win 50+ games, easy.
Someone on the Warriors needs to get canned for not figuring out a box and 1. Kerr is great at mind games and motivating his players. It's hard to motivate the most talented team in the league to play as though they are the worst team in the league: move the ball perfectly, learn player movement, hustle for rebounds, do dirty work. There have been lots of uber talented teams that lost because they were not willing to do those things. He has done well to overcome it. I'm always impressed by how the Warriors play as though it's their first title shot.
Lol you guys are so dumb. This warriors roster was awful once KD went down. They lost all their depth from 2015 since they had to pay Steph and KD. They were extremely top heavy. And even without KD this would have gone 7 if Klay hadn't gotten hurt. And even without Klay the team still kept it close in the 4th quarter and almost forced a game 7. Kerr is a great coach.
Kerr is not a great coach, heck even Walton did the same while Kerr was out. Kerr just had great players and assistants that made him look good. Can't wait to see him coach next season.
The changes he made after taking over from Jackson made the team much better. _______ Under Jackson, who was fired in 2014, the Warriors passed less than any other in the NBA; they threw nearly 63 more passes per game the next season and became the NBA’s top scoring team. Firing him was like taking a parking boot off a sports car. Jackson also indulged in some spectacularly weird **** as boss. There was the usual Dumb Guy paranoia and secret-keeping where his assistants and executives were concerned—he seems to have kept some of those beefs alive years later—but his attempt to bring his team together by painting backup center Festus Ezeli as a traitor and a villain was a journey into dark and uncharted territory. https://deadspin.com/we-must-remove-mark-jackson-from-nba-broadcasts-post-ha-1835398227
Exactly. Which other team boasts 2 top 10 scorers, several good defenders and a PF/C that averages 7 assists a game? The end of the Warriors bench was terrible, but even without KD their top 7 players are an elite unit.
