    I agree, not that he is a bad player but that contract kills our chances of landing anyone of consequence. Find a third team to facilitate getting Paul to Miami and Dragic, Oly to us. Heck I'd even eat one year of Whiteside. You'll have to give up Tucker to make it worthwhile for Miami.

    I’m mostly against trading Paul due to us being unlikely to receive equal value, plus having a secondary playmaker to run the offense when Harden sits has been beneficial.

    I would make an exception if Miami offered a Dragic + Winslow based deal.

    Let me make sure I've got this right: You would take your All-Universe shooting guard and move him to point, while simultaneously moving your newly acquired All-Star point guard to shooting guard? :confused:

    So your brilliant idea is to make team much worse in 2019-2020, and unless you dump Clint Capela for expiring contracts and draft picks, you still won’t have enough cap space to offer a maximum contract to Anthony Davis. Finally, no free agent that is better than Chris Paul would consider coming to a team with Harden, Winslow, Olynyk, and a couple of young players.

    The best way for the Rockets to take the next step is to sign a SF, PF, or C that is an asset in the Tuckwagon lineup with the MLE, and/or trade Clint Capela for that type of player.
