I will be honest. I've always been on the outside looking in when it comes to politics and the election. I took this quiz:
    https://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz

And it is really eye opening. Looks like I would support Tulsi Gabbard. Did some research and I really like her.

If you are in the same boat as me, I highly recommend taking this quiz to really educate yourself.

I've been on the Tulsi train for months. Contributed.

I answered about 75% of the questions on offer and got the following results:

    Parties

    87% Green
    85% Socialist
    84% Peace and Freedom
    78% Democratic
    70% Libertarian
    36% Constitution
    27% Republican

    Candidates

    87% Julian Castro
    86% Beto O’Rourke
    86% Tulsi Gabbard
    85% Bernie Sanders
    85% Elizabeth Warren
    85% Kirsten Gillibrand
    85% Andrew Yang
    83% Kamala Harris
    81% Pete Buttigieg
    81% Cory Booker
    79% Marianne Williamson
    78% Gary Johnson
    75% Amy Klobuchar
    71% John Delaney
    62% Joe Biden
    40% John Kasich
    39% Donald Trump

    A few takeaways:

    - There's an obvious cluster at the top 7-8 candidates. I would draw my hard line of support at Booker. He's a turd. Surprised to see him and Pete B tied.

    - It's amazing to me that I have more in common with Gary Johnson than 3 fairly well known Democrats (I personally think this says more about centrist Democrats and than it does me)

I don't trust these type of website services that try to summary your stances based on some limited set of questions.

Youre overstating the "limited". Theres over 100 questions to answer that took me and my fiance three hours to answer all of them.

I should expanded on what I stated. It's not just the questions (and they are limited IMO), but it's how they interpret the data. I'm not totally clear how they interpret the data, but I have my guess based on what I have seen.

As an ex for myself, I took the test and it's Tulsi Gabbard. Nope. That's not my choice at all at this point.

Some example of their characterization of candidates:

Biden - Gov experience, electability, big gov, environmentalism, keynesian, ...
Trump - Patriotism, confidence, toughness, protectionism, nationalism, antropocentrism...
Gabbard - Diplomacy, health, foreign policy exp, democracy, environmentalism, secular ...

It's not clear how they get these characterizations. They do list the political rating (1-5 star) for each candidates that is based on "voters" data. If voter data is people answering their questions and that's how they determine their summary, it's pretty self-reinforcing. eg. Voters - I think Trump has great busn experience. You - I want someone with great busn experience. Summary: Trump. But does Trump really have great busn experience? The interpretation is based on answers from the polls taker themselves. Doesn't this lead to a "mainstream" or popular view of the candidate and thus skew your summary toward that way?

    BTW, they make money by
    - selling the massive data set they obtain through these questions
    - allow you to create your own custom poll, start an ad campaign, and boost email subscripers

If you click any candidate, under each question that the candidate has "answered" there is a button for references.

off and on I came back again and answered more questions, based on all the questions this is what came up for me:

    Parties

    74% Libertarian
    64% Republican
    50% Constitution
    48% Democratic
    46% Green
    44% Peace and Freedom
    42% Socialist
    42% Women’s Equality

    Candidates

    74% Gary Johnson
    71% John Delaney
    66% Donald Trump
    63% Andrew Yang
    61% Amy Klobuchar
    58% Cory Booker
    57% John Kasich
    55% Joe Biden
    54% Kirsten Gillibrand
    52% Tulsi Gabbard
    52% Beto O’Rourke
    51% Marianne Williamson
    50% Pete Buttigieg
    49% Julian Castro
    46% Kamala Harris
    45% Bernie Sanders
    45% Elizabeth Warren

I suppose that's about right. This quiz strikes me as somewhat more nuanced than ones that have been posted here in the past; on the other hand, there are still too many questions posed as binary, either-or options where subtlety, context, and contingency gets thrown out the window.

I also think the poll shows more about the leftward drift of the Democratic party over time then it does about fixed ideology.

What a load of BS. Designed to funnel people one way and that is away from Trump.

There's literally people in this thread who are getting Trump as their top 5. I'm not even a Trump hater. You're reaching, bro.

I agree with you on this one. My candidate list was almost exactly the opposite of how I would have voted. Tulsi was dead last and Andrew Yang was first, followed by Corey Booker. I would vote Tulsi above anyone and Andrew Yang would be at the bottom of the barrel, almost as low as Corey Booker.

Maybe you aren’t that big of a trump supporter as you think?

I got trump as my 1st choice.... by answering the exact opposite of my stance.

Perhaps you don't know Tulsi's policies as well as you thought?

so I haven't paid much attention to Andrew Yang, and for two of us so far Yang scores right in the same vicinity next to Trump. why is that?
