Get rid of Harden, Cp3, D'Antoni, Tilman, Capela, and Morey, fire them all . They're all part of the problem. Maybe tip your hat to Golden State because a very very good Rockets team couldn't beat the loaded Kerr dynasty for years. I just remember back in the day, a huge amount of fans wanted to trade Hakeem in 92. Were you one of them too? Just sayin. Great teams keep what they have to build and improve while letting go of a few pieces and replacing a few to grow. Go look next door @ 501 Crawford street to see how to build a championship team too.
harden is 30 cp0 is 34 pj tucker is 34 eric gordon is 30 capela is 25 sure... lets wait it out try to build on what we have while 2 of our main players are halfway to 40. sounds like a solid plan. honestly, with that kinda mindset, by the time your actually ready to bail and move on, its now too late to get any kind of value..
Dump everyone and tank hard for a few years, producing some of the worst seasons professional sports have ever seen? The Astros are the exact opposite of what you're proposing.
I'm open to a logic trade from CP3. Tucker can still ball. Nobody touches Harden. Still wondering what happened to House and Faried during the playoffs?
Actually, after their draft they signed key deals including Verlander. Draft alone couldn't win a world series. And this year, they've added Brantley who was a 2 year steal not to mention adding an elite pitcher like Cole. That's the point I was trying to make. The rockets were already good when Tilman inherited the team.
The true scapegoats so far are Jeff Bzdelik, Roy Rogers, Irv Roland, John Cho & Mitch Vanya. We'll see what other scapegoats come (err go) summer.
Gotcha. But it's easier to keep a team together when you're starting with a plethora of All-Star level youngsters. I'm all for making small tweaks to our strong core, but the problem is that CP3's salary-to-performance ratio is threatening to kill that possibility. We need to add more talent and don't have the flexibility going forward to make that happen. Even if we refrain from pointing fingers and scapegoating, something's still gotta give for us to improve. We can't add anyone of value without letting someone of value go.
and they should this team needs an upgrade addition, not subtraction they are still contenders they lost to GS a combined 11 pts I believe if you restart the Rockets/Warriors series without KD, Rockets would win if KD leaves, Cousins leaves, Livingston retires, Iggy retires, the Rockets will own the West. if anything we need a coaching chang, not a roster change
