    Smh, Imagine not trading for an all star because you didn't want to let go of an aging role player. I don't care if Butler is a rental. That's like saying you wouldn't trade Patrick Beverly for a younger chris paul. So stupid.

    Anytime you have a chance to acquire an all star, you do it. Did it stop the raptors from trading Derozan for Kawhi? Hell no. Even if Kawhi leaves, it would've still been worth it.

    Because he did? Didn't you read? Memphis was taking time to see where they would've traded Gasol but the Rockets couldn't wait cause the Kings and Cavs were available to make that 3 team trade but (i guess) they were not willing to wait for Memphis. In the end because of the Grizzlies both teams got screwed, the Rockets got a worse player in Shumpert and the Grizzlies got no picks.

    i wouldnt mind love for cheap at 30. he still averaging 17 pts and 11 reb per game. thats huge for us when pj averaging 7 pts and 6 reb per game.

    He's been on my radar for a while too. plus rebounder, shot blocker, defender, hits the 3, decent assist rate too. a bit injury prone though. he will probably command the larger MLE but if we trade capela/gordon for love he'd be worth it.

    I think you're confusing this episode with the one where Riley didn't agree to a trade to take back Anderson in the summer, but agreed to take him from Phoenix later in the season.

    GS would've been ECSTATIC to see Love out there instead of Tucker in the playoffs. Tucker's defense all over the floor was huge; no way Love makes even half that defensive impact.

    Counting stats isn't everything.

    In theory we could sign and trade Shump with one of Capela or Gordon for Love.

    And also in theory we could guarantee our 4 minimum salaries (harty clark chiozza frazier) and combine them with nene and capela for Love.

    havent really watch Hassan this year, but he only has one year left on his contract (but at 27 mil)
    his stats are about 18 ppg and 9 rebounds
