Raptors have SIX GUYS who have been on the 1st or 2nd All Defense team. They have 2 former DPOY's, one of them still able to play at that level (Kawhi), and one more guy who is likely to win DPOY in the future (Siakam). We are still the most successful defensive team against the Warriors over the past 2 seasons and it's going to take this Raptors team to change that.

We are a better offensive team than the Raptors, both in the regular season and in the playoffs. We are offensively better than them in the 4th quarter of playoff games and regular season games. Offensively, we are the only team that hangs with a Warriors team that features 2 of the best scorers ever (one of them ISO the other off ball) plus Klay Thompson (who will receive the MAX this offseason) plus their 4th best player Draymond Green who is essentially their primary PG at 7-8 assists per game. They are the greatest offensive team of all time.

But the reason we're not winning a championship is because of 1% of Harden's offensive plays? The absurdity of this argument is comical.

The rockets were just unlucky in that they are in the same era as the Raptors Dynasty. Any other year and Harden would lead the rockets to multiple championships.

People focus way too much on the offensive end, and specifically bad offensive plays. Not nearly enough discussion here about how many free back door layups we gave, or how many put-back layups we gave.

Raptors are better than us at this point but that's not static. Obviously losing Kawhi would change that but so would losing their depth when they have to give Siakam the max or close to it.

Not length at all, and also the amount of offensive rebounds we gave up. Looney looked like an all star against us but ordinary in game 1

yup. the raptors have a lot of offensive weapons. Kawhi, siakim, Gasol, Lowry, vanvleet, ibaka... all can create either for themselves or others. we had James, Paul, gordon, and sometimes rivers. if we had 2-3 more playmakers who can also defend we would have won two championships in the last two years.

Kawhi should have moved without the ball more, then Lowry would have played like a superstar.

Lets fire the 2 people that built our defensive scheme, the two coaches who did what coaches are supposed to do and that is tailored our switch defense to match up specifically with all of our playoff foes offensive schemes in order to keep their offense in check.. successfully..as we kept opponents offensive ratings lower than any other team has been able to

    Heres the kicker

Lets fire those two, BUT lets keep the guy that made ZERO offensive adjustments even when it was clear it wasn't working.

Hint: it's not the scheme. Talent matters.

Vince Carter just said in The Jump that Lowry wanted Kawhi to do that but he refused.

You say that as the Rockets defensively outperformed a team chalk full either present or past defensive player of the year and/or all nba defensive teams.. chalk full of players who have made a career with their defensive prowess.

but yeah It's not the scheme.. it's the talent

    okk o_O

Murray should be paying attention to the Game 1 Raptors, not Game 2 Raptors!111 Moray fails again.
