Tracy McGrady: CP3 wanted more movement out of James Harden. Harden didn't budge.

And the high pick and rolls were essentially useless because Harden never attacked after the pick and just waits for switch. There was not much rolling in the GS series.

The Rockets would spend 20 seconds on the shot clock just trying to get the right switch which often ended up in a rushed contested shot attempt with little time on the shot clock left.

Just pointing out how we nitpick our guy despite the team and coaching flaws. All the while we overlook things other guys have done. Could he move better without the ball? Yes. But if MDA can't make that happen the we need to fire his azz. Our wing players are too damn small. Morey needs to get his $hit together. Players cost money. Then Tillman needs to spend some damn money ON THE RIGHT GUYS. Finally, if this Harden version of the Rockets can't elevate, trade his azz and lets rebuild. But the problem is bigger than one guy.

This is just a false narrative. Harden gets plenty of praise while fans ignore some severe deficiencies that are rather glaring. Any objective observer would have red flags seeing Harden taking 15 seconds to cross the half court line lolly gaging up the court not seeming interested in being involved in the offense in a legacy defining elimination game.

Comes with the territory of being “THE MAN”. Fair or not. If he’s the real MVP and supposed best player in the league that many on this forum like to believe .... then of course the microscope is going be on him.

You can’t relish that **** in the regular season and then ultimately come up short year after year when it matters the most despite the circumstances.

If he’s so sensitive and stubborn that he no longer wants to play with Paul cause he simply asked him to move more without the ball then we really are ****ed with Harden as our guy. That’s what it sounds like apparently. How anybody keeps dodging and beating around that underlying issue is a head scratcher.

Dude National talk shows openly rip this guy on the daily despite the fact he's not playing anymore. Even mofos who haven't won squat take their shots. But even objective observers can see that the Warriors have dominated the west for 5 years. So rip the conference every star in the West have fallen short.

Harden asks for this by doing glaringly mistfying things in legacy defining games.

If Harden in game 6 showed a sense of purpose given how important the game was to his career, we would see him having an extra pep in his step, running and scrambling for lose balls, picking up the pace, not standing around and lollygagging everywhere on the court when he doesn't have the ball etc. Even if they lost and he showed that effort instead of what he did, the criticsm wouldn't be anywhere near as sharp.

For good reason. 4th quarter and beyond of game 5 the rest of the series was up for grabs and it was anybody’s series and we were favored by the “hater media”. Once again Steph stepped up when it mattered most and Harden folded. The narrative would be much different if he finally came through for once and the opportunity won’t ever get better than the one he just blew.

Game 6 the rockets were favored by 7.5 points.

The way people talk it's like we were 10 point underdogs.

That doesn't address my criticsm. You are beating up a strawman.

If Harden is holding team back, Let's trade him and win the chip!

But I don't want him traded. I want him to fix his severe odd quirks.

And Raptors have a chance to beat them right now. If you're just going to use the loser excuse "hey, they're just the greatest most invincible team ever," then this team isn't ever going to win a championship (with that mindset). There's always a way to win, especially without Durant.

Raptors not in the West and they only won a home game. Warriors not eliminated yet.

But hey, If Harden is holding us back, Let's trade him and get the chip!

It is funny to see how many posters distaste for a player and our system blinds them to reality and let’s a loss send them into a rage fit blaming the things they hate rather than the real underlying problems.

Paraphrasing a pretty prominent, respected NBA writer on his podcast after GS knocked us out: “ The Rockets didn’t lose because of their system, they didn’t lose because James Harden choked, they lost because they couldn’t find a way to make stops against a more talented team”

It’s not just the “homers or Harden nut huggers” who see it this way.
