Nice win for the Raptors but still not convinced that they can beat GSW in 7.

Dont see Raptors playing much better while GSW could probably step up 2-3 more levels, particularly defensively. What they showed last night, was far from what we saw against us (probably cos of the layoff and maybe underestimating raptors)

Given how Kawhi looked, and if Iggy is out, GS will adjust and leave Kawhi 1v1 and shut down all the role players.

Does Canada even broadcast ABC? I thought their provinces would have their own version of ABC to broadcast the game on. If that's the case, then obviously viewership, as reported from ABC, would be down.

I think Games 2 through whatever will have higher ratings. Expected people to think the Raptors would get blown out.

The whole reason why Kawhi didn't look good, was because he was doubled for most of the game. When they "1v1'd" Kawhi, Kawhi usually made his perimeter shots.

I think GS will blow out Toronto at least once this series (Curry/Klay can get hot whenever) but it's not farfetched to think both teams can't ramp it up. Curry and Klay still had 50+ between them while Lowry, Ibaka and Powell all underperformed.

Wow, this could be big. Throw him out for a couple of minutes to see what he looks like / how he does (a la Boogie in game 1). If he sucks, pull him. If he's good, he's good.

They are more interested in hockey. That's their national sport. If there was still a team in Vancouver, there might be more interest. Heck, even if there is a great deal of interest, and perhaps there is, the entire country of Canada has a population of 37 million. Compare that to the population of Texas at 28.7 million. That's just Texas! I think folks in the United States who aren't watching this Finals are missing out. So far, this is a damn good series.

Even so, this is the first time in the history of the NBA that a Canadian team has made the NBA Finals. I'm sure there are far more eyeballs on this series, than the numbers suggest.

I think it'd be like if the US made the world cup finals, some random year. Even though our country's interest in soccer is lukewarm, compared to other major sports, I'm sure you'd still get a bunch of people from the US watching the final match.

I think if the Rockets just went ahead and traded Capela and pieces for Gasol it would be them taking on the Raptors less Gasol in the Finals as we speak. I still think Clint is the future and had a some bad luck with severe illness... Trading away the future for a title run is worth it.

3.3 million on Canadian sports network. The game was also broadcasted on ABC in Canada . But no numbers to be found. I predict over 4 million on average.

Bravo! Glad to see some actual information about the ratings in Canada from a Raptors fan. Looks like they're very good and there's a lot of interest. Congratulations to the Raptors on their great season, by the way. Most of us are rooting for them to beat Oakland. I certainly am. I want Kyle to get that ring!

Well said! I'm beyond sick of the "stories" continually shoved down our throats and across the country by the league and media like ESPN and TNT.

(sorry for the "double post!" I just assumed someone else would have posted by now )

Thanks for the info, as you said these are a good series, if it was only to watch Kawhi it's enough to attract viewers

Dude was very sick and probably didn't recover in time. He is the future with some better coaching.
