They'll also be terrified of Booker demanding a trade after another losing season.

I'd do that trade in a heart beat

True or not, those expiring contracts could come in handy. But I'd only make a deal with something already up the sleeve on any expirings.

I think Paul's trading value is very low. I would be surprised if we get anything positive in return by trading Paul. I will be thrilled if we can trade him for nothing, but I can't imagine that happening either.

Teams that are incapable of scoring big-time free agents, can take on a ~$35M contract this summer, are desperate to win, and could use a PG:
    (1) UTA
    (2) PHX
    (3) IND
    (4) ORL
    (5) CHI

Teams that could take on a ~$35M contract this summer and could lose out on either KD, Kawhi, Klay, Kyrie, Jimmy, Kemba, or DLo:
    (1) NYK
    (2) LAL
    (3) BKN
    (4) LAC
    (5) PHI
    (6) DAL

I could see all the teams in the first category taking CP for the right offer. I could see all the teams int he second category taking on CP if they are desperate or taking on Clint if they can't swing a second star. For the teams in the second category, you could trade potentially trade CP into space to free-up cap room (assuming other moves).

EG was a bad Pelican. The fans didn't like him, he was always injured and he had a poor attitude.

May have already been mentioned, but is there any chance that Morey did some light canvassing to maybe a team or two on Paul? Those rival GMs then leaked it to Woj to make it seem like were aggressively trying to cut bait with almost anyone.

Yes. I like EG, but Beal is better. Clint is useful, but we all know his limitations.

Lakers aren’t stupid but they are also primarily beholden to LeBron. If he wants CP3, and they feel they can still make a competitive offer for AD, it’ll happen.

I hate to break it to you but there's a slight difference between Eric Gordon and Anthony Davis.

i mean considering neither of them want to be there and have flat out made it known, does that actually make a difference. AD being much better is irrelevant if he has no desire to be there
