    He would be a good assistant, but no thanks to having a coach on the bench who is gunning for the HC's job from day 1. Can't afford to piss away a season due to an ancillary part of the team being in disarray.

    What does Lue even bring to the table, as an assistant?

    I mean, "LeBron to Houston" jokes aside, I'm scratching my head as to how Lue can help this team overcome.

    We offered him the job in October of last year.

    He rejected a HC position because he wanted more than three years. I'm not sure if he's realistic and I'm not sure if he's very good.

    Yeah Lue is insanely overrated. His entire legacy is essentially running David Blatt's system except with Lebron absorbing the placebo effect of things changing. He has less influence on winning that title than possibly any coach in history.
