You're trolling is terrible lol. You keep bringing up the Blazers record as if that's a indicator of his personal value, without mentioning, organizations, roster talent or supporting cast. But the FACT of the matter is he's had more memorable performances & hit more clutch playoff shots than Harden has. He's also never quit, while Harden's quit multiple times on his teammates. No matter how many PPG you average, or triple doubles, quitting is unacceptable. If you're a supporter of quitting, then you must be a different type of fan
I dont want the "non-quitter" that keeps getting swept every year. I dont want the tosser that has shot 36% against the Warriors in two separate series. His teammates didnt make him throw up bricks. Go back to the Blazers forum where you can discuss ways to get Harden on the Blazers with your other Blazer homies. None of us are even going to entertain that trade.
Yea but Harden's had the luxury of playing atrocious through some of these wins he's got credit for. Lillard has had better standout performances even though he's had less talent
So you do support quitting. You'd rather watch Harden rack up individual awards every regular season, then take ONE shot in the last 7mins of the biggest playoff game of his career. I thought this was a Houston Rockets fansite, not a nest for James Harden nuthuggers. My bad lil bro
Dude you guys keep getting swept. For all of the "quitting" Harden has done the guy hasn't been swept 3 years in a row. So I guess Lillard just isnt good enough to prevent it from happening.
honest question, Deck... Do you think Mike '7 seconds' D'Antoni wants Harden walking the ball up at a leisurely pace? I understand harden likes to use the opportunity to survey the defense and plot his next move... but I just dont think we're maximizing our opportunities when we dont get into a play until so late in the shot clock... Personally, I would like us to get the ball upcourt asap and looking for potential defensive lapses to exploit... Plus our lack of fast break opportunities really hurts us imo...
Rockets Pace compared to the League 2016-2017 (1st year D'antoni): 3rd 2017-2018 (Pre All-Star Break): 10th 2017-2018 (Post All-Star Break): 29th 2018-2019: 27th
Yeah, it's not like Harden can't play with pace. It's no coincidence that as our team got older and primed to make a playoff push that we've slowed the pace down considerably. It's definitely a strategic move to limit possessions/transition opportunities and increase variance. Historically, playoff basketball grinds to a halt anyways with both teams trading isos at the end of games. This was one of the criticisms of the SSOL suns.
The slow pace corresponds to when we made Harden a POINTS GUARD and gave him the ball - MDA doesn't want to play slow, the guy with the ball does...... This is all on Harden. DD
He was the PG in 2017 when we first had D'antoni and were 3rd in pace. We were 10th in 2018 with him and CP until the All-Star break.
I think some of it is harden walking the ball up. Some is cp3. We also got rid of ariza and ryno who used to run down and get a quick 3 (not really a fast break just a quick shot)
Yeah, we definitely walk the ball plenty but I guess the question people are trying to ask is if it's strategic or if Harden is just being lazy. I'd argue that its clearly strategic. Also you said Ariza and Ryno were the guys running in transition... maybe that's why we don't do it more? We don't really have the best athletes or youngest legs...
I don't think it's strategic. It doesn't help to play at that slow place. I think harden prefers it. Only Gordon seems to run up and take those quick 3s now.
