More than half of the MPs of Labour are remainers. Most represent areas who voted Remain. Jeremy Corbyn's wishy washy attitude isn't representing the backbenches which is why the MPs often rebel against the whip. Also a small part of Tories MPs ARE remainers.
You are trying to argue that the few people who voted for the labour party this week, are in fact not pro brexit even though they voted for a party that states officially they support brexit. This is a dumb position.
I just want to point out that though American politics seems terrible, at least we aren't debating whether to be governed by other countries. Absolutely insane.
Nope. Labour has voters who vote for it for 50+ years straight. Ridiculous to suggest that all Labour voters would en masse change and go vote Lib Dems if they are Remainers. Now all of a sudden Manchester the strongest Remain vote in the North West with over 60% has turned Leave because they voted Labour? Reaalllyyy? Or maybe it is because they are Labour stronghold for hundred of years and still are remainers. You can try to pass this propaganda elsewhere but not while I am here to check the facts. If you want to be the most precise then you must take out both the Tories with their MP rebels and Labour Even then 2nd referendum parties = 40.4% Hard Leave parties = 34.9% 40.4 > 34.9 But too bad, by tomorrow not even Corbyn himself will have any option but to submit to the will of his MPs and voters and support a 2nd referendum. https://www.reuters.com/article/eu-...l-election-or-second-referendum-idUSL9N227027 So you will have to include Labour MEPs as 2nd referendums advocates.
Or they think a passed referendum should not be ignored or else all referendums have no meaning. You know, like the labour party does...... Please almighty 'fact checker' Malakas. Tell me more.
So let me get this straight.. You are saying that Manchester voted Labour as they have done every since the founding of the city, NOT because they are Labour voters but... to protest the referendum...? While Labour is widely accused of not respecting it itself? WOW What a meta meta vote. You vote FOR someone not to support them but to show your opposition to them. I guess instead of thinking that the whole city of Manchester has joined some metamodernic theatre of the absurd I will just believe that they are Remainers as they were 3 years ago.
No. I said the exact opposite. They simply hold to the labour party position that the referendum should be honored ( not 'protested'). Thus they voted labour. Crazy I know. The rest of your post was worthless because you misread what I wrote.
So they supposedly show their support to a party that says that the referendum should be honoured but also actively blocks it from being honoured? During the indicative votes : Most of the 2nd referendum votes came from... where? Labour MPs. Most of the votes to revoke article 50 came from ..where? Labour MPs. But yea go ahead and show your support if you are a Brexiter. That is if you are totally clueless of what is going on for the last 2 years. But according to you the whole city of Manchester doesn't watch the news.
Farage's group wins in the UK Le Pens group wins in France Salvani's group wins in Italy European Awakening
So, parties that clearly identified themselves as pro-Brexit (58.1%) won the night handily against parties that identified themselves as anti-Brexit (40.3%). So this was pretty clearly a smashing win in support of getting Brexit finished.
Why did you say a No deal brexit was approved by parliament? It seems you don't really know what's going on or are intentionally being misleading.
Thats the Lib Dems leaflet..Ofc they will try to pass labour as a clear leave party to steal their voters. Is this the best you can do..? Really?
It doesn't have to be approved but it will have to be approved if the next PM tries to pass it on their own.
Le Pen won France but got the exact number of MEPs as Macron. Only when the UK leaves, and their seats are redistributed they will get one more MEP. But Macron is already having dinner with Spains PM to form a coalition to pocket the commisioner seat. Salvini, LePen Orban and the rest for them cooperation is impossible.
Yeah I know that but Mojo said no deal brexit was specifically approved by parliament when it was the exact opposite. i know, no deal is the default position my specific question was how was the new PM going to get parliament money no deal to pass when May could not. He said no brexit was already agreed on by parliament.
oH yeah I misread your post. Yup the PM as you said will have his feet and hands tied by the parliament. No matter who he is. Because the MPs will stay the same and the numbers are clear. With yesterday's result the Tories will surely seek more extreme form of Brexit while Labour will seek a 2nd referendum so even more polarisation is coming.
Both Labour and the Conservatives have consistently and relentlessly insisted that they support Brexit. Anyone who says otherwise either does not know what they are talking about, or they are lying through their teeth. Case closed.
