Will he be playmaker while harden stands at halfcourt and Paul in the corner?

Seriously trying to imagine how this would work

Because teams are trapping our pick and roll action and our release valve can’t do a god damn thing with it. So instead of inviting a trap that leads to Tucker or Clint having to make decisions we let Harden beat his man 1 on 1 to force help to make a play,

    This isn’t hard.

So is his roster though to be fair. Im not saying we shouldnt have more ball movement an off ball stuff. But our roster for the most part is maximizing its potential imo. ......well Cp we are gonna have to change stuff with.

Ya it's because of his roster, more specifically it's because we have a superstar who has cement bricks attached to his feet when the ball isn't in his hand.

What? who decides to switch, thats just GS. And they rarely trapped against us and when they did, Tucker(he was great besides that) or Capela couldn't do anything with it. When you have a switch defense it nullfies a lot of your pick and roll actions so iso is a way to counter that.

We isolated on 22.4 plays in the playoffs per game. Same as the regular season.

Golden State increased their isolations from 7 to 10 per game in the playoffs.

Teams trap our pick and roll actions or switch more often in the playoffs because Harden let's them. After a screen is set he just keeps on dribbling on the same spot instead of making the quick move after the pick is set. It's one of the most baffling things about Harden... He let's defenses set when he could attack them earlier. He does this so often. I don't understand him sometimes.

Did our possessions drop also in the playoffs. I'm assuming they did thus making it a higher ratio of iso plays.

He may not move off the ball that much but if you think the way our offense was running was the reason we lost to GS, thats just not the case, you can check the numbers.

Or you are looking for a conclusion that fits your narrative.

You're acting like the rockets get trapped all the time but they don't

So in that one specific case Draymond would help, otherwise he would be a poor spacer

And how would that change by adding one guy who moves?

    By 1 per game.

Warriors dropped around 2.5 possessions per game.

Fits what I visually saw more accurately. We definitely slowed the game down and we definitely executed a higher percentage of iso plays. I'm a geek when it comes to the Rockets as I think I've missed one game the entire season. So I trust my eyes to have a general baseline to understand if the team is playing a higher rate of iso in the postseason.

No they dont, Utah worked very hard(and so did teams this year) not to swtich they wanted to keep their strong defenders on Harden cause they knew if Harden did get the match up he wanted, it was curtains. Its really just GS who does that. Wtih the trap when you get trapped your supposed to pass out of it.

And aren’t all these facts I’m feeding y’all stuff that someone who thinks they know what’s going on should be aware of and researched?

Too much eye test diagnostics. No ones eye is good enough for this.

Sure he'd be a great defender. No one disagrees there. But pj tucker is also a good defender

Who Draymond, idk if youve seen but we do run action for Cp out of the post, could do that with Dray its not like we have guys who are incpapble of doing it, we dont however have many playmakers outside of james ahnd chris.

To be frank, I don't trust your data. I already know for certain that the NBA doesn't accurately track certain metrics such as what is considered "heavily contested" vs "contested". It seems as if subjective eyes were used to accumulate that data.

Also, I noticed you used the term "plays" for units for number of iso possessions and then use the term "possession" for total amount of possessions. Are "plays" different from "possession"? You need to same units for a ratio.

Isn't a "play" a possession that ends in a shot attempt and isn't a "possession" any type of possession even those that lead to turnovers or a fta?

Anyways, you seem completely reliant on data... Data you never question the accuracy of also. I love data also. 4 years of undergrand engineering and currently grad engineering, you learn to appreciate data... But you provide zero context behind the data.
