Ryan Anderson. To rid yourself of Cp3 Contract? Who plays with Miami. Still 2 years left compared to 3 on cp3, cuts the spending cost. Say if you can get Bam in the deal. Talk about getting what you signed for again. I assume they have to wait for june 30 for new period to start. Just wondering if you would as a funny post.
I’ve never really been bothered by any of these kinds of threads, but ****, you finally did it. How does this in any way benefit the team?
Hypothetical - Was wondering if clutchfans would, to rid of paul contract. Im not suggesting it by no means.
another nonsensical, trash thread Ryan Anderson does not have 2 years left on his deal, his contract expires next summer... Pat Riley is not taking on CP3’s contract... next...
It depends upon what you get back …. A straight swap is stupid. It doesn't make you better and doesn't help you get better beyond that unless you got back a bevy of picks ... the $20m trade exception it would generate is damn nice tho. But if you get Ryno , Justice Winslow and Kelly Olynyk …. Yeah , I do that. Its just a better allocation of resources than 30% of your cap space tied up in a secondary playmaker. Then you find a secondary playmaker with your MLE and still have Ryno as an expiring deal after next season to wheel and deal with …. (that's not to say that Miami would give you that deal)
Great use of clickbait techniques! If you had put Anderson's name in the thread title, absolutely NOBODY would have clicked. Yay you!
I haven't soured on CP3 the player , I just don't think he's the ideal fit next to Harden …. both are ball dominant and there aint but one ball. You'd be a much better team with a bigger defensive minded point that shoots a high percentage from deep and a quality wing player …. That's not knocking CP3 at all … He's just a luxury you cant afford in a salary cap league.
I think he is, this wouldnt even be a discussion if he was the same player he was just a year ago. Harden just needs a secondary guy who can score/play make and CP isnt that guy anymore at least in terms of scoring. And also to be fair we are a much better defensive team when he is on the floor. If CP could just catch and shoot a little faster, it wouldnt be an issue. But I donno Im rambling. My point is that I still think they can make it work, they are two of the smartest guys in the league. Its not like I dont understand where you are coming from. Where I do agree absolutely is that we do need a wing player badly. Preferable a tall one with length.
Just came here to ask if I was the only person that immediately thought of AHA as they read the thread title.
Not even if he was free. He and his contract were a crime against humanity. We're still healing from it. 2018 WCF: Ryan Anderson: MP: 29, FG: 0, FGA: 4, 3PA: 2, TRB: 3, PF: 5 Ryan Anderson 2017-2018 salary: ~$20 million
Just one question - What are the odds that CP3 gets any better tomorrow than he was this past season? I think the answer to that is slim to none and Slim just left the building. I think its pretty clear he has lost a step and is far more likely to decline than improve. They should have gone after a stud wing instead from the beginning - I know , CP3 was available , that stud wing wasn't. You take stars when you can get them ….
