the snow-flake-in-chief abruptly blew up a meeting with Democratic congressional leaders on Wed, declaring that

he could not work with them until they stopped investigating him and
lashing out at Speaker Nancy Pelosi for accusing him of a cover-up.
on the heels of the longest Gov shutdown in US history, induced by Trump, the tough-talking snow-flake is
signaling that he doesn't want to be POTUS

    he tweeted
"You can’t investigate and legislate simultaneously - it just doesn’t work that way.
You can’t go down two tracks at the same time. Let Chuck, Nancy, Jerry, Adam and
all of the rest finish playing their games...."

    facts
Nixon signed many laws, working w the opposing political party, while being investigated (WaterGate),
    ditto for Clinton (White Water)

He also called for investigation into Biden his main opposition. That move alone is unprecedented and a clear abuse of power.

No matter what happens going forward, the United States is damaged forever.

It is like Trump did not understand that there are three separate but equal branches of government, when he ran and then became POTUS.

Ashamed that they haven’t done more to protect the Republic and ashamed they lost an election to such a con artist yes.

However they have nothing to do with the fact that 40% of the country is indoctrinated with propaganda and will believe the sky is purple and up is down if FoxNfriends tells them as much. The Democratic Party has very little blame for the ignorance of millions of Americans.

Take some responsibility for your own tribe on that major issue which is a cause of billionaires like Murdoch funding this propaganda for the gain of the billionaires Themselves by poisoning the minds of millions with self defeating stupidity.

Didn't read your article, but this is my conjecture. Not that he necessarily needs an impeachment or anything, but he's not afraid of an impeachment because he's confident that the Senate will acquit and he sees that there is potential to gain a rhetorical advantage by beating the rap. Which incidentally is exactly what Pelosi is thinking also and why she won't impeach, because she thinks she can gain maximum political advantage by investigating for impeachment and airing all the dirty laundry without impeaching and giving Trump the opportunity to claim vindication in a trial.

So, no I don't think Trump impeached himself because Pelosi has enough discipline to not take the bait. But, he doesn't mind if he does get impeached and probably prefers an early impeachment to a drawn out investigation that might result in a longer and stronger impeachment article in the end.

While we both vastly disagree on exactly why the democratic party should be ashamed, it's good to see that at the very least be both do agree that the democratic party has failed the people & should indeed be ashamed.

Both the Republican and Democrat parties have failed the American people.

The Democrats for their profound arrogance.

The Republicans for willing to throw the Constitution out the window to support a President.

There has been long term damage done, and no one has clean hands.

At the end of the day, they are who the people allow them to be. 50% of the people don't bother to vote. Of the people that do bother, another 50% don't know sh*t. It's a depressing and sad take. We have always been operating under an "elitist" system and mindset, trusting that the people in power to know what's right, what's wrong, have higher moral than the avg american, is smarter. It's a system dependent on "norms" and good institutions. A system that depends on leader of high integrity and would act for more than just themselves, but for the good of the republic. So, while yes, the arrogant of the DEM has failed the people, this 'elitist' trusted based system that has made slow but steady progress is breaking down in real time. That might not be such a bad thing at some point in time, but it's a very very bad thing when it is breaking down on term of a morally corrupt criminal protected by a whole elitist powerful party and with 20-30% of the population too dumb to realize what's going on.

Russia sells natural gas on McKinney St in downtown Houston. Its state owned gas company Gazprom opened there in 2009 during Obama's term.

Putin gets his money and influence in Europe from natural gas

Putin gets his money and influence from much more than natural gas. When the USSR broke up, Putin was the administrator in charge of transitioning state owned industry to private hands. Every oligarch in Russia owes their fortune to Putin. Too, Vladimir made sure he acquired a significant share of ownership of Gazprom, as well as other major industries. Suggestions are made that Putin actually holds the most individual wealth in the world.

Putin has been a dedicated student of judo, and much of Soviet industry landed in the hands of his companions in their judo school. How's that for qualification?
