I like how Verlander's answer to not getting a proper called strikeout on a great curve was to throw 97 mph up and in. Maybe somebody told him about his hero's bowtie talk during the previous inning.

 

At that point, I think the hitters were trying to not make Verlander sit for another 30 minutes.

Nope. I have to think that he was asked by Hinch, and he professionally deferred. I can't imagine Hinch pulling JV without his consent at only 100 pitches and an inning to go.

Nah, i didn't. I figure I'll do some more research on it. I was able to get the link to work on reddit finally but i really do like the at bat app. It's great and i use it all time.
