We are probably going to trade EGo and we may be priced out of Rivers and we can only realistically count on Paul to play about 55 regular season games

And we shouldn't be looking at guards??????????

    Come on man.

DM was charged with this by Les, and he's succeeded big time. Now, that we are THE contender opposite the wonderboys in GS, sure we're in win now mode. It's a self perpetuating mechanism.

I’m glad he’s looking at players but it would be nice if he was looking at SF’s and not just smallish guards. It would also be great if we were gearing up for the draft, but seeing as he traded our 1st rd pick away to bring in a scrub like Shumpert, that’s out the window.

Yeah, Morey is working. He’s getting paid millions to manage the Rockets roster and improve the team. It’s always “win now” mode instead of building for the future. I don’t think Morey is the worst GM but I get sick and tired of the same old story year after year. No draft and no money to sign players that fit the system. Look at teams like Milwaukee, Philly, and Toronto with all the young talent they have on hand and tell me who has a brighter future. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Harden this would be a lottery team, 100%.

I know this that sounds cynical but I wish Morey would get back to drafting young players with a high ceiling. It’s time to quit obsessing over stars and bring in guys that fit the system that can shoot, and payers big enough to defend when we play against taller teams. Just my two cents.

This is the TRUTH!! It's been almost 2 weeks and I'm still sick the way we lost. I could've dealt with a Game 7 loss in GS but to lose at home again.....THIS IS DEPRESSING!

Outside of bringing in AD, I just don't have any encouragement about next year. Jimmy Butler is good, he's a Top 20 - 25 but he's over 30yrs old and he's a player that's always hurt.WITH HIM AND CP3.....HARDEN WILL BE DEAD TIRED COME PLAYOFF TIME.

Tobias Harris is an above average role player and I just don't see anyone else out there.

Or it means we have 5 free agents and one MLE to fill those spots with - the rest will be minimums and two ways.

Three point shooting is also an area where you can see a player suddenly improve quite drastically.

We can complain we aren’t getting the best of the best, but there is a salary cap and at least the Rockets are being proactive. They could do what 75% of the league does and just sign someone and hope it works.

"But maybe he's going to find the next Beverley"

Thats what we need a 5'11 gritty defender

If the Rockets some how manage to get Butler (it isn’t happening), you are telling me you would still complain? Check yourself.

Let CP3 and Capela eat up all the cap and then surround Harden with vet min players. If you can't find them in the NBA just go to Europe. What a strategy.

Ya'll better get ready, because aside from maybe 1 guy in the MLE range, these are the type of guys we are looking at bringing in. I would be stunned if anyone traded for Capela, and I am not sure we could get anything of significance back in a trade for Gordon. Forget about Butler. He is not going to pick up his option and then demand a trade to Houston, that is laughable.

Scottie Pippen wasted 150 million dollars and had to get the Bulls to give him an ambassadorship in their organization so he didn’t lose his last car and home.

He raised a daughter that was a drunk that squared and pissed on the floor of a hotel lobby.

Scottie Pippen can barely clean his own ass... yet this is the dude you trust?

The Top talent in Euroleagues are Signed Up long term or Draft Prospects. The Rockets are dumpster diving no doubt.

No Euroleague player can enter Mike DAntoni 7 man rotation.

Maybe Rio Grande Valley Replacements most likely.

The real sad part about the Rockets other teams are taking advantage of the Rockets draft picks, and Daryl Morey is continuing to sign bad players to bad Contracts, and throwing in Picks to take away the contract.

I really hope Chris Paul gets traded at all cost, get someone younger, hungrier. Not a injury prone player, really old in NBA years.

The Rockets are going backwards in lack of Young, Talented Players. Daryl honestly is bad at drafting and developing.

Clint Capela is the only draft pick that panned out, but still raw and terrible against GSW only.

Montreal Harrell became even better without DAntoni. Montrezl never played against the Spurs because of Mikes 7 man rotation. I was literally dumbfounded, when Montrezl didn't play years ago. Now he is the Clippers Anchor.

Difference between Maori and Spurs FO.

Last resort vs. Spurs culture to make internationals stars of the franchise.

Naw, don't think so. Hasn't been decided. Minimum salaries are going to come into play whether we're hard capped or not. And Morey missed last summer with MCW and Ennis. He's just acknowledging the importance of hitting on those contracts and giving himself PR cover that he's putting in the time. (smart)

IF we acquire Butler on or before June 29 with him opting in.... it seems to me the best route would be to go hard cap with the exceptions. Especially if we could generate a sizable TPE by moving out Capela later in the summer. (;)) Or possibly use him in a SnT.
