We didn’t miss him. We need to worry about getting a third star, it another role player.

House filled in admirably for Ariza this season when he was playing. Y’all overrated or overvalue Ariza in this board

We aren't even going to talk about Ryan freaking Anderson being unloaded like a bag of oranges when the Rockets couldn't even leave him in front of a fire station.

sure did miss him. because of his absence guys had to shift over accordingly to other roles that they otherwise would not have been in had ariza been here. and you are delusional if you think ariza wasn't missed. he would of obviously been a rotational piece and judging by the amount of guys who struggled badly, yeah its pretty safe to say someone was missed

the minute the playoffs started house was a deer in headlights. talk about overrate/overvalue. look in the mirror before trying to tell others that

Well... didn't they take back Tyler Johnson, who will get $19 million next year?

He actually played MORE minutes per game THIS year than he did with the Rockets last year.

At age 49, he is STILL in the top 25 in minutes played per game somehow. In fact, I think he's been in the top 25 for like 9 years in a row.

Play him 18-24 and see what happens. Imagine that.

Yeah, but the Rockets actually wanted Tyler Johnson. They asked Miami for TJ and they declined. He is wildly overpaid, but he is playable in the Rockets system while Ryno sat on the bench.

Really? I mean, maybe he would have played, and maybe with only 1 year left on his deal, it'd be more tradeable.

But I have a hard time believing they want $19 million Tyler Johnson on the roster. They were desperately trying to eliminate salary for next year, and get under the cap this year, ostensibly so DM could go into the luxury tax next year .... on the RIGHT players.

I'm not a capologist, so I don't know the nuance. All I know is when Anderson was a Rocket, DM wanted TJ and Miami declined only to do the exact some trade a year later when Anderson was with the suns.

The GM for the suns was a former Heatles player.

We need a center/PF that can hit threes and frees (fts). THREE and FREE - that's what we need! Could Hartenstein be that??

We need to add midrange shots.

We need to reduce Harden's minutes

We need better defense but not from Ariza. Time to move on.

MDA needs to coach better- call timeouts- make adjustments - expand rotation

West is only going to get tougher (even if worriers regress).

Yes I would, with him we were an elite rebounding team.

    No.

2017-18 Houston Rockets (or of yesteryears) are not walking through that door.
    Not Trevor
    Not Luc
    Not Ryan
    Not PatBev
    Not LouWill
    Not Montrezl
    Not Sam Dekker
    Not Kyle Wiltjer
    Not Dwight Howard

Humpty Dumpty can't be put back together again. Well it can but doesn't mean you'll get the same results.

Luc? The same guy who played 61 minutes in only 4 games TOTAL last year?

Vet minimum, no way. Minimum wage, maybe. And even then, I'd insist he pass a physical first.

As for Trevor, he'll be 34 next month. So sure, bring him back. He and CP3 can share a walker.

We missed Ariza’s rebounding this year as much as anything.

For the minimum, can't hurt. Can give good backup 4 minutes. Doubt he can guard quicker guys anymore, but has the nastiness/height to play some 4.

I'm quite happy with Tucker/Clark at the 4 next season unless a real upgrade opportunity presents itself.

Wish we had him this season. Would have been nice for him to spell Tucker when tired or in foul trouble. Wasn't in our hands though.
