Trust me, we're not that far off. We don't need a massive overhaul or anything like that. These players are really good and our biggest problem is definitely our mentality and that comes from the top.. MDA, Morey, Tilman

We ruined them every time except when it really mattered- in the playoffs. Not a coincidence.

The Warriors are just the best team. Adding Durant made them even better. Just have to wait it out and hope they split up.

Iguodola ain't really go full force during those games start to finish.

Gerald Greene shot us out of the game with rockets ahead by seven. Gordon never contributed late in last six minutes so warriors had too much for harden. Capaela was running on fumes.

The rockets was winning by seven but them late three's by curry and Thompson messed off the game. Too big a hill to climb late.

people somehow still believing that Harden plus a bunch of role players can win a title...I really don’t know what to say at this point

CP3 obviously isn't enough to get us over the top. It looks like we may need to sell our souls for Anthony Davis. I think that would get us a couple titles. Let's offer Capela and a billion zillion draft picks. o_O

Adam Silver was thinking the same, thats why he instructed the refs to steal the game 1.

Rockets had both game 5 and game 6 to cut their throats without KD. Didn't happen.

so? Its a small sample size...
btw the series is still tied at 3-3 in my book and the entire nba agreed the refs won game 1 for the worriers

That brings up an interesting dilemma for Morley. Does he start making moves as early as possible, assuming next year's Warriors will be of similar strength in and roster makeup as this year's team? If he waits until all the roster-shifting has finished on their part, it may be too late to get what we need.

It really seems the people that make excuses for Harden don't think he is that good. The people that are most disappointed (myself) are the ones that believe he is so good he can defeat 4 all-stars. The fact of the matter is: Harden "with a team of bench players" were only a couple points away from beating the champs this year AND last year.

You were in multiple threads saying Harden and the Rockets would defeat Warriors in game 6 now you're saying they had no chance? Make up your mind. How can anyone trust your work?

I just cannot stress how much the playoffs are NOT like the regular season. That actually might be the problem with the Rockets: they don't realize that, and they bring regular season play to the playoffs.

I also posted all season that our chances of actually beating them in a series were low, especially without HCA...Rockets in 6 was my heart speaking and what I hoped would happen

last year CP3 was a top 10 player and legit star...this year he wasn’t even close to top 20 so it was truly Harden plus a bunch of role players

Bron needed multiple stars to win a title...KD did...Steph does

    Why is Harden the exception?

Harden is the exception because he is that good! He is the only player in this league right now that has caused rule changes, whole defensive scheme changes, the influx of "ways to stop James Harden" videos on the internet.

No other player on earth is causing such a shift in the NBA like Harden, not KD, Lebron, Kawhi, Dame, Curry, Giannis, NOBODY.

If Harden would just realize he is the best or top 3 best player in the league he would drag those bench players to a championship. Rockets have been so close before, Harden (I thought), was good enough to push them over the top.

Rockets bench players always get Harden close enough He just never wants to take the final step.. It's frustrating.

We play with fear during playoffs and it shows. I'm not saying this is our only problem but this is certainly our biggest problem right now. Can't cope with the pressure.

and i don't think looking at harden this way is in anyway invalid. Absolutely nothing wrong with asking him to be that player we've seen in the regular season so many times. again as @topfive brought it up the other day. If oracle harden from this season for example, showed up in the postseason the league would be in trouble. I agree, the rockets would still be alive imo

Harden was crazy in the regular season. Just a sliver of that in the playoffs would be enough. If Harden had the same mentally he had trying to get 30 every night and applied that to wins in the Playoffs, Rockets would be in the WCF.

He always looks like he is saving himself for something.. There is no tomorrow, man.

CJ said he "emptied the clip" - IN THE SEMI FINALS!!
