So how long does Vogel last before LeGM makes Kidd the coach?

Good hire. Vogel is a good coach.

The problem is, does that matter with LeBron on the team? I cant help but feel like he will be the scapegoat at some point.

"Vogel, 45, was the third coach to be offered the Lakers' coaching job. Monty Williams and Ty Lue both rejected the Lakers' offers."

Surprised Vogel wanted the job. Although it's not a bad business decision.

You do well with the Lakers? You come out smelling like roses.

You do poorly with the Lakers? Can probably blame it on a couple of factors (front office, LeBron, etc)

Kidd is gonna add creditability because after all Kidd developed giannis.

Lonzo ball gonna get Bron back to playoffs for sure. This is an Olympic year so Bron ain't bullshieting.

Lol, the basketball gods were like "y'know you guys have been sucking alot here, lately. Busted draft picks, can't sign any noteworthy free agents, injuries, and front office disarray. We'll give you a pretty decent coach, even though no one else wanted this job and you didn't want to pay them.

Guaranteed future drama. Everyone knows Kidd is exactly the type who will be gunning for Vogel's job from day 1. How stupid are these Lakers? Just hire Kidd with excellent offensive and defensive assistants. He's a bad coach, but at least you will have stability.

Vogel is an idiot too. If this doesn't go well, it's unlikely his career rebounds. It's not going to go well. He should have waited.

lol...obvious puppet coach and placeholder for Jason Kidd to take the reigns a few years from now

How are u gonna force an assistant coach on someone as a stipulation for taking the job? Is this not like Derek Fisher having Kurt Rambo’s forced on him in NY? The Lakers are just a bad organization.

Usually teams enforce experienced veteran assistants to first time rookie coaches. But this is the opposite.
Kidd can't draw a play to save his life.

What a cockroach. He found a nice lie that he can develop players, to get himself a new job and how fast so the full extend of the criminal job he did in Milwaukee hasn't been digested yet by the media.

It couldn't happen to a better franchise.

Vogel just got fired. With the Suns and Kings jobs taken, what other jobs were available other than Cavs (which is a worse gig than Lakers!)

Yeah, I don't understand why Kidd would take this job as an assistant unless he was nudged and winked at. It's very odd.
