Unless she is the lead writer on the show, im pretty sure the shows result has little to do with aneurysms. Daenarys character played a boring naive blonde at the beginning of the show and hit it right on. She didn't develop with her character obviously.
But even in the books - hell, moreso in the books - Daenerys Targaryen is a terrible leader. Yes, she started off as the weak little sister who did find some spine...but she was always a conqueror, not a leader. Everything that she does in the books only serves her at the moment. Once she has moved on to her next interest what is left behind was horrid.
She is not and house rockets allegiance assured we would lose and so will she. Sansa needs to date Phoenix her ass

I'm only continuing to watch in the hopes that Jon kills her. This show has turned into Lost 2.0 for me. Whereas the first few seasons were amazing, and I could watch repeatedly... only to have the ending of the series be... unexplainable nonsense. They've got two episodes to turn it around, but based on the last four, I really am holding out no hope. They've ignored so, so, SO many things and it is just utterly stupid. I liken the writers to the Houston Rockets. Low IQ all around.

Me hoping she dies is just on the assumption that they're turning her into the 'Mad Queen'. After last week's episode I think she hops right on Drogon and burns Kings Landing to the ground requiring Jon to kill her. Spoiler: Prophecy Spoiler Of course that would've been the perfect way to bring about the prophecy of Azor Ahai, however the writers have ruined that by killing the NK before Cersei.
Dany and Jon are both going to die. I'm not sure how they'll kill Dany but she has to die. She can't win the Iron Throne and we are seeing signs of her going dark. I expect her to burn Varys alive soon to help us be "here for it" when she finally dies. As for Jon...I don't know. He also has to die as far I'm concerned. Can't have a happy ending for him. Right now I'm thinking Arya will kill him. He's not part of the family anymore. I can't see any of the major characters living through to the end except Sansa and Arya. All men must die. I'm really curious if Tormund was really written out of the show with that last scene. Like if that's really the last we see of him...yikes.
They better explain something about the Lord of Light. I bet they'll prob not in detail because GRRM wants to hog the spotlight on that
