How is it that our MVP is the one that gets none of the blame if we bow out, AGAIN, to a team missing it’s best player??? What are we paying him for if it isn’t to lead the team to victory??? Y’all have no self-respect. Stop making excuses for him. This is Hardens team, no one else’s. He either gets it done or he becomes one of the biggest post season chokers in history. You can excuse it all you want but that’s what he becomes. He’s too damn good to let his teammates dictate the narrative.
We're not going to dismantle, but with this Chris Paul and without another star we're not going to win **** going forward.
We had the chance to have a better team, but we chose staying under the salary cap instead. If I was Harden I would want out. If they don’t win these next two games they squandered their chance to win this year by not getting Harden more help. Unbelievable.
After all these years we still only have one all star. Capela getting owned is extremely disappointing. Front him and he’s 100 percent useless. We are overpaying him which I completely disagree with. I don’t know how you go from 2nd best to best unless all stars want to jump on board for less money to chase rings. It isn’t happening here. That’s one way the Spurs stayed relevant for so long. They got good veteran players cheap. The Mavs has a little run like that too. Obviously you saw what the Heat and Cavs did. The biggest example of all was KD to GS. Free agents aren’t knocking on our door. We don’t have pick of the litter or whatever Morey said last year.
I stand by my statement. Rockets weren't built specifically to beat The Nuggets. They weren't built specifically to beat The Trailblazers. Unlikely to get swept by either. However, the obsession and the complaining and the over spending wasn't designed for the purposes of beating either of those teams. According to The General Manager of the Rockets, they were built specifically to beat THE WARRIORS. Time to PUT UP or SHUT UP! "I think I'm not supposed to say that, but we're basically obsessed with 'How do we beat the Warriors?' Last year the Spurs knocked us off, so we're very worried about the Spurs, they're always one step ahead of every organization and guard us better than anyone. But we calculated it—it's like 90 percent if we're gonna win a title, we've gotta obviously beat the Warriors at some point. So we're extremely focused on that. A lot of our signings and what we do during the year is based on that." -Darryl Morey
Sounds good in theory. But no GM could possibly be roofie'd enough to take CP3 and his contract off our hands. That is an albatross that will be hanging around our necks for 3 more years.
Difference in perspective I suppose, but I think this team is a championship caliber team. Again, look at who we are trying to beat. If Golden State did not exist, then I believe we would already have a title.
If we lose this series and have any means of getting rid of Capela, we have to do it. He has played like *** for us, showing no heart in rebounding in Game 5. How can we win a championship with Tucker as our only capable rebounder? No chance we trade Harden and no one will take Paul. Gordon doesn’t deserve to be shipped off but if necessary to sign another star we should do it.
Capaela was a bust and no draft picks so every potential trade deal will require a third team. If they would have kept melo maybe he would have helped swing a offseason deal. Smh. IT'S OVER...BLOOD SHOT EYE AND ALL!
Blow it all up.....trade Harden he is not good enough, or rather disciplined enough to ever lead a team anywhere significant. DD
EVERY player is available for the right price. NOBODY should be safe. If we couldn’t take this series when it’s handed on a silver platter we’ll never win with this group.
