I dont like where the Rockets are at right now. Deep down I feel disgusted. IMO, the Rockets team plays better with that little chip on the shoulder, with that feeling of being a little underdog. This new place where the Warriors are without Durant, and everyone is saying the Rockets SHOULD beat the Warriors, I just dont think it sits well with the team. I just dont think they know how to handle this situation. I think it adds a different kind of pressure against the Warriors. I am convinced that they will **** it up, and in the process become the laughing stock of the media world, and worst, in the process make Curry look like a legend. We got screwed first by CP's ham-string, and now Durant's calf. I think I am going vegan after this series. I am ok with going out, but... Tell me I am wrong.
We just happened to be in the midst of trying to beat one of the most stacked teams ever assembled. But, I give the Rockets much credit for not just rolling over.
We would be the favorites in the WCF and the Finals no matter who we play so they need to get used to it.
Last night, I almost went into the game thread in the 3rd Quarter to post this image. But in the sense I didn't want to win like this. I want Durant in the game.
This is the pressure that champions face. The expectation to win. It is a very different kind of pressure, will be interesting to see how the Rockets as a team handles it.
I think so. They have played Detroit and Boston. We would look unstoppable after those two matchups as well. I've just seen the best team in the East get hammered by the West too many times. The conferences aren't close. I agree Mil is a really solid team and I actually really like Giannis and the team they have built around him, but there is no way I would pick them to beat us or even Golden State w/o Durant.
These are the lingering effects of PTSD from 2 years ago when we get blown out 114-75 in game 6 at home against a Kawhi less Spurs. We were virtually a lock to win that game and Harden went 2-11 with 6 turnovers and looked like he gave up. Game 5 was his for the taking but instead he was passive and once again looked disinterested in a golden opportunity. When we ultimately lose whether it be in 6 or 7 he’ll look back and realize he let perhaps his best chance at a title pass by. **** me .... right Harden fanbois? Yeah yeah I know it’s not over but I’m not holding my breath. He just made things harder for himself and he set himself up for failure. Again. I hope he proves me wrong. Doubt it.
Don't feel bad, now if they didn't have Durant to start and were that same 73 win team, yea, but Durant made a b**** move and the whole NBA is in the same spot.
What's worst is that even if we win, everyone would be like 'well it's normal because the Warriors don't have Durant'. Sucks to be in this situation
Beating these bozos finally is worth it. A championship makes it worth it. They say it about the 94/95 Rockets, bc of Jordan. But you know what, who gives a crap. They are champions, and always will be. No taking that away. So go out, beat these arrogant pricks, and **** the media
