Imo Irving is gone, and not because they lost this series, he was already gone by months.

At this point Ainge can do two things, give up everything in terms of assets, which means Tatum, Brown and all the picks he has, to try to get an expiring Davis (who has no interest in playing there) and another good player (Beal?), or he can just retool the roster around Tatum, Brown and maybe Hayward (not sure if he'll try to dump him or not).

Personally i think he's going with the second option, the first one seems just too risky and i don't even think he would be able to make it happen anyway, after this season the value of his assets hasn't raised, Tatum played below expectations, Brown looked worse then last season, the Kings pick was supposed to be a top 8 and it'll probably be out of the top 10...i just don't see them beat the Knicks and the Lakers in more than a single trade offer.

    https://www.boston.com/sports/bosto...says-the-celtics-will-be-fine-because-im-here

Kyrie Irving was asked whether he thought the Celtics’ regular-season struggles will leak into the playoffs.

“No, we’ll be fine,” the star point guard told reporters.

    Why do you think that?

    “Because I’m here,” Irving replied.

“Like I said, I don’t get frustrated about this stuff anymore. It’s just part of the regular season. In the playoffs, when we can plan for a team, prepare for a team, I still don’t see anybody beating us in seven games.”

Well, Kyrie, when the earth is flat, you don't get to come around. You just keep going the same way and fall of the edge.

Terry Rozier seemed to imply that he would prefer Boston let him walk as a restricted free agent this summer.
"I’ve been dealing with some bullshit," Rozier said, summing up his feelings of his 2018-19 campaign. "I feel like we all still had that one goal. It wasn’t easy on coach dealing with a lot of guys that want to be great trying to get theirs." The Celtics will have the right to match any offer Rozier receives on the open market, but it's clear that Scarry Terry would like a larger role, and he may have priced himself out of Boston's market. What the Celtics do with Rozier will likely be dictated by what happens with Kyrie Irving this summer.

Celtics need a true playmaker pg. Kyrie by nature is just a scorer and when he's off he becomes a liability.

he wants to be a starter. assuming boston doesn't bring back kyrie, I don't see why they don't give a chance for rozier to be their starter. Unless he just wants to get out of boston period

Horford gets a pass but Celtics couldn't run with the bucks because Giannis had things on lock.

Tatum, brown, and rozier might be "outta there".

Everything was on lock because of Giannis!

    Rozier is godawful.

Horrible shot selection, playmaking, defence. He is only a shoot first chucker with horrible %s.
He also has said that he is looking for 15 mil per in FA.

It's Ainge's fault. Phoenix wanted him but he asked for their 1st rounder back.
    Karma.

Tatum seemed to be the most content one, and they were willing to build around him if needed.

Tatum don't got enough playmaking as say a rj Barrett.

Tatum was supposed to be able to go bucket for bucket with Giannis.
