It's not complicated at all. Teams can trade or acquire whichever players they like. But each team can send only a maximum of two players to the all-star game.

I'm not saying that Durant wouldn't have been allowed to join the Warriors. But him doing so would mean an all-star on the Warriors (probably Klay) would have to sacrifice being an all-star with Kevin joining.

It wouldn't completely solve it, but it would cap some of the enthusiasm of players to join forces with other star players. All-star selections are prestigious.

Then I misunderstood you. It’s the honor, not the player, that matters in your scenario. I think that an All Star wouldn't care about the honor as much as the chance of winning a ring on what he would consider to be a great team, if only he joined it. That trumps all, in my opinion. That’s how I think a Durant, for example, would think.

But would Durant be as willing to join a team if he is concerned that a star player on that team may not fully embrace him?

Like I said, it doesn't totally solve the problem, but it's something to discourage star players from teaming up.

If the NBA actually cared about parity, I think they'd do it. But superteams are probably good for them, financially. The Heat were very popular, and now the Warriors are very popular.

Who knows? The league is highly unlikely to do anything at all.

If it is a calf strain, Durant had one before, and missed 2 games in the playoffs.

    we shall see.

If it is something more serious....karma.

Look we are winning the series. Is all about Marketing. The NBA has gotten all the juice out of Golden State, they are now in re-tooling mode. We Will be instrumental in the next series for elevating the Western Conference finals to be another entertaining ride before we face giannis and the Bucks. The league needs to establish Giannis and who is better than the bearded villain James Harden and the cheating Rockets to make giannis a hero. you know some might think this is a crazy scenario but watch don't it turn out just like I said. You can book it.

The Warriors are actually not as popular as people think. NBA ratings in general have gone down since the Durant signing, and there is a downtrend in Finals ratings year by year.

Warriors won game 5 with emotion, but Game 6 and 7 when we we prepare without their best playoff player is our golden ticket. Curry played with a little extra and that Donkey scared most of the Rockets with his animal behavior. When their emotions calm, they will have 1 less lethal firepower and defense will be easier without Durant. I'd be shocked if Durant plays game 6 because any aggravation of the injury could cost a lot more, granted he is heading to Knicks. They may play him like a doll. If we want to make all the retribution to all our woes against the Warriors, no better than beating them in Game 7.

If he’s out for game 6 (and 7), we have to be careful not to let up and think this series is ours because he is out. Obviously, other guys can stuff the stat sheet, and if we are passive (4th quarter yesterday), they can still beat us. We don’t want to see a repeat of the spurs series from a few years ago. It was so disappointing to pull even heading into the 4th, and end the game that way. This wasn’t on the refs, this was on the Rockers not coming through. The should have taken advantage of KD out, and stepped on the W’s throats. We are taking this game, and whether or not KD is good for game 6, we are going home to close it out. But, sadly, they didn’t. Now it’s a tall task, with or without KD..

This could be setting up to be pretty much the exact opposite of what transpired last year.. though I don’t see the refs missing a bunch of calls for the warriors, or them missing 27 straight 3s, but we shall see... gotta come out tomorrow and just lay it all out there, and get it back to Oakland. From there, you pray.. game 7s are crazy. Here we go!

More than likely KD has a grade 2 sprain and he is out for the playoffs

When it comes to the Rockets it doesn't matter. Curry, Klay, and kd all could be out and the Rockets would somehow find a way to let the Warriors keep it close.

Right? They lack killer instinct. It would be Livingston and Iguana each dropping 25

Yup, that's something they definitely do not have. If it's one thing they can't do is keep their foot down on the peddle when getting a good lead or rhythm going.

If it's a strain of any kind, Durant is done for this series. Game 6 has all but been confirmed. And Game 7 could be at 2:30(12:30 West Coast time) Sunday afternoon. That's 3 1/2 days after Game 5. There's no way he's recovering that quickly.

That’s all good and fine, but we still need to beat them at home and back in Oakland! If KD is out and we fall again, this will forever be known as the era of the disappointing Rockets trying to get over the hump and the Warriors standing at the top and continually pushing us off. We are snakebit over in Oracle. Now, most of those frustrations would be overcome with a big game 7 win on the road, but let’s get through tomorrow first. We wanted to run it back, it’s setting up like a copy of last year, but with the roles reversed. Can we take advantage?

I’m not sold the Rockets can win the next two with or without KD.

I am much more sold that without KD the Bucks have a legit shot.

Oh, no doubt. The Durant injury(assuming it's serious enough to knock him out of Games 6 and 7) is both a blessing and a curse. It's the former because it gives the Rockets at least a 50/50 shot of winning this series. It's a curse because if they don't win(especially if God forbid their season ends at Toyota Center tomorrow night), it will forever cement Harden and CP3 in the minds of many as playoff chokers. And you know what? It'll be hard to argue they're not.
