I'll say it 100 more times probably before our playoff runs (be it in elimination or championship): The referees have made it clear they don't want James Harden shooting a bunch of free throws this year in the playoffs. There was a lot of negative feedback from former players and media types and the referees have taken notice.

 

I have no faith in Shumpert having another good game. I’m willing to eat crow if he proves me wrong.

 

It's literally impossible for Harden to get a shooting foul in the paint.

It was actually such an advanced pick that the league hasn't caught up with it. Decades from now that pick will be hailed as genius and a defining moment in basketball history. The refs will be reviled for calling it a foul rather than recognizing Shump for his basketball genius. But that's the plight of the genius; they are seldom appreciated in their own lifetime.

 

Can we get a refs you suck chant, or a good old traditional BULLLLSHIIIIITTTT going?

That's why you don't want to have him creat much, his dribble is wonky and he just can't pass, if he can attack the basket quickly he's pretty great, when he starts dribbling too much a turnovers is pretty much guaranteed.

 

This is what happens when you don't give your bench players minutes during the regular season. They should all be ready to go. Let everyone have chemistry out there instead of plug and playing right now during the semi's trying to tie the series up. One of the biggest reasons why D'antoni teams don't win... never learned fresh legs win the game amd series.

The amount of contact they let the Warriors get away with on Harden vs what they call against us is just staggering. This "focus" on not giving Harden a parade to the free throw line is silly.
