18-19 playoffs FT Attempts per 100 possessions Antetokounmpo 20.1 Embiid 15.5 Durant 13.0 Harden 11.2 Harden is clearly the one who's playing the game the wrong way!
But harden is the only using witchcraft and magic though. I see the rockets inbounding the ball...then harden shooting FTs. Magic. Everyone’s fooled. He must be stopped. Like can we run some plays..call timeouts..run around...u know..basketball things.
That's fine if you root against them. However this thread had been a pit of ridiculous salty comments complaining all the time about the refs. Not even the Celtics forum was like here. Also the media made you root for Boston of all teams? The same Boston that is no2 behind the Lakers in using the media to propagandise themselves? The same franchise that has the most arrogant fanbase in the league? Good lord. Who is everyone? All of social media has been full of Saltics fan whining about FTs. The whole notion that the media and the league is treating the Bucks with kid gloves and protect them against the fair complaints of Boston is utter ridiculous. SMH.
@malakas, I know you are a Bucks fan, maybe Celtics fans are crying about ft's, but the media and the general NBA public does not care that Giannis is taking a million ft's. Never once have I seen someone in the media tell someone else to stop whining when it comes to Harden and his ft's. I have seen this a couple times now on TV defending the unstoppable-ness of Giannis and I'm dumbfounded. Also, it shapes perception. Refs are afraid to call fouls for Harden because of the backlash from every corner of the Earth; they don't want to be baited. Refs call all the fouls for Giannis because everyone seems to be fine with it.
You missed that Giannis is 5x more likable than Jim Harden. It is what it is. Shouldn't get too defensive or offensive from either side social media wise. FTs are really one of the ugly parts of the game.
Celtics defense looks kinda pathetic now, they can't get a stop in a moment they should give everything they have.
Giannis gets touch fouls, Durant gets touch fouls. Harden gets clobbered and still no call. Got his eye poked out and was damn near blind and still no foul call.
Celtics are done and i'm not shocked, i'm more shocked about the fact that maybe i finally nailed a series result Irving imo is 101% gone and i'm curious to see if Ainge will still try to trade for Davis, i wouldn't be shocked to see the Knicks make a big push for AD if they sign Durant and/or Irving, they actually have a ton of assets.
Celtics got basically eliminated by George Hill. If Lebron had hair he would be pulling them all out right now watching him play so well this season.
In the places I visit to follow the nba (nba twitter reddit and realgm) I saw everyone whining about FTs. Also I am consistent and tell everyone to shut up about FTs both about Harden and Giannis. Don't you think it's a little hypocritical people to protest about how Harden is treated unfairly while treating another player unfairly themselves? He doesn't get touch fouls. He also never ever flops. He is getting literally beaten by multiple defenders all series long.
I hope this breaks up the Kyrie/Boston marriage because those kids and Stevens deserve better than what Kyrie dragged then through this year. All this BS about knowing how to win it all and being a NBA veteran blah blah blah.
It's actually embarassing that for some people Harden is considered a choker while this guy is a winner, i have no doubt in my mind that a lot of people would take Irving over Harden. Kirye is just another overrated all star that had the luck to play with Lebron and win because of him, otherwise nobody would've talked so much about how good he is etc. Without Lebron this guy would be just another Derozan. The Knicks better hope they get at least Durant because if they think about building a team around Irving they are already screwed.
Let's not blame Giannis or the bucks for this. It's the NBA's problem. It's not that Giannis should get less FTs, he gets fouled, he's aggressive and attacks the rim. So is Harden though. The problem is that Harden doesn't get those calls. That the media has created a narrative that Harden doesn't deserve those fouls in the regular season anyway and so that it is rational that those foul calls drop when the playoffs start. It really has nothing to do with Giannis, it's not like him or the Bucks are behind the narrative. Like really, the fact that people think "The rules change in the playoffs," is a valid excuse shows you right there.
