remember how the refs reviewed that play where nene hit draymond? and remember that the refs didnt even review the play where he scratched harden for the 2nd time TAKE THAT FOR DATA
It’s crazy to put Draymond down. At least defensively. He is all that and a bag of chips in today’s nba. He makes the right reads all the time. And it’s his length that is more impactful than his size. That said the end result is correct. Less lobs and more drives at Draymond. That’s what Harden did game 3. And most importantly with that. The immediate offensive bird. Dray can alter these shots. But he’s not in position to turn around and grab the board quickly. Harden is a very capable offensive rebounder. I like this twist. Fine. Miss a layup left. Heck purposefully miss it left. Straight back up. Also James can/should incorporate a fake lob. Like a poker match I think a Draymond knows Hardens tell - lob vs layup.
i agree to an extent but calling draymond a poor athlete is just wrong. the dude has amazing coordination, quick hands and feet as well as amazing instincts.
Daryl Morey 1st Round Misses Jeremy Lamb - Traded in a Package for James Harden Terrence Jones - In China Royce White - was supposed to be a Draymond Green, became really crazy, having Baby Mamas, fear of flights Draymond fell in the 2nd Round Draymond Green was a overweight prospect in the 2nd Round, became a 6'7 Rodman, (Rodman was nicer) Maybe a Karl Malone type that injures Star on Purpose (Michael Jordan)
He's a thug and a hatchetman and gets by with more than anyone can. Kick in the crotch? "Just Draymond being Draymond" Scratch in the eyeballs? "Just Draymond being Draymond" Holding the defender on screens? "Just Draymond being Draymond" Holding offensive player on defense? "Just Draymond being Draymond" He gets away with murder, especially off the ball
Why no videos of Harden dunking over Draymond? Also, Draymond should not be making anything around the basket especially when Capela is guarding him. He has scored a couple of times off of drives against Capela and Clint can not let that happen. He has to make Draymond a zero on offense like Draymond mostly does to Clint.
How do you see Jeremy Lamb as a miss??? He's a starter who averaged 15+ per game last year. For a mid-1st-rounder, that's about what you'd expect. Even right after the draft, his potential represented enough value that he was a key piece of that Harden trade.
90% of the game is confidence, 10% is skill when you are allowed to do anything and everything by the refs, even to yell in their face, and you know the calls will be made in your favor more often than not, it gives enormous boost to your game if he were to be officiated like Dwight Howard you would be singing a different tune, you wouldnt even recognise draymond on the court and he would be perhaps out of nba by now
Great analysis, we need to wear down green through the course of a series through use of tough physical play. He’s a physical guy but relies primarily on his b-ball IQ, gotta get him beat down to the point he cant think clearly. May cost us a few points but be beneficial in the long run. Gotta take advantage of the weak depth the warriors got by punishing their starters.
It’s not like Harden is an imposing athletic finisher. He relies on angles and forcing the refs to blow a whistle in his favor. Draymond is too good for that. Harden has his work cut out going against him. He has to attack earlier and more decisively. He has to be willing to stop and pop too, to mix things up.
Seems like all this time we were building a team to counter the warriors only to discover they simply have too few weaknesses to exploit.
nah its more like their main strength is the refs.. you can do everything perfectly , and the refs will always be there to stop you and give them the edge
True. Draymond can come at Harden in the lane in the air hard with the body and rake across the head. NO CALL. But you bump Kevin Durant on his way to the basket.. . . .. .
Um... no. Draymond Green didn't win a DPOY while also being "perhaps out of the nba" because of refs. Does he have more leeway than some? Sure. Sometimes you earn into that. And he did. But also, as with most things about his game, he's very smart and measured about everything he does. In the sense that he knows the rules, does get in refs' faces sometimes... but clearly knows his own personal boundary there. He's really really really good defensively, in a way that makes tons of sense for today's NBA and for the Warriors.
