i mean a jon vs NK fight didn't happen. just saying The Mountain is on Arya's list. lets not forget that
I don't know...Lady Stoneheart, Azor Ahai, letdown of Wight fights....Not much fan service on some pretty big isues,
All those guys just waiting for the enemy to arrive in Episode 2 couldn't get a wink of sleep they were so nervous. If having sex helps you fall asleep, you're probably more sharp by the time the fighting starts.
Fan service to the show, not the books. Outside of the books, nobody knows Lady Stoneheart. And the show clearly went down the path of zombies instead of wights.
I agree, but what I'm saying is that many book readers are show watchers and they wanted to see LSH, AA, and Wight fighters. I know i did...not a book reader though.
I mean the ultimate fan service would have been Jon Snow fighting the NK and they didn't do that. I do agree they do a lot of fan service though, like the dragon picnic date from Ep1.
Having seen the various articles and listened to a few podcasts regarding the prophecies, the call backs to earlier season comments, etc... I conclude that the showrunners got too caught up in prophecies, call-backs to prior seasons, etc. at the expense of story-telling. So while we get scenes about eye color, and god of death, etc., we also get scenes like "Arya: here Sansa, take this knife and go to the crypt. Sansa: wtf is a knife and how do you use it... so confusing??". Or wights being able to dig through stone despite not being able to dig out of a wooden box. Or Theon (already ridiculous that he's the "protector of Bran") basically being like "I'll take this spear and charge the NK with no f'ing plan cause why not!?!?", etc. And horrible cinematography. And poor overall battle planning. And direwolfs and Jorah leading a charge where basically everyone seems to die but a few, and they're in that few. Or the NK and his lieutenants having done basically nothing in almost their entire series run. Arya being the NK killer? Fine. Great! Arya coming out of nowhere? Sure... she's a silent assassin. No Tier 1 characters dying? Fine... but don't have them being overrun a whole episode yet somehow killing thousands of wights themselves individually. Cersei as the final bad guy? Fine... not my favorite, but her story line just kind of sucks and is a snooze fest at the moment. In short, episodes 1-3, imo, have been pretty lacking. Hopefully 4-6 make up for it.
there are going to make cersei kill them, its a way to piss of fans. The theme is to give her crazy insight and strategic planning (which makes no sense since she's an arrogant dimwit) . You can count on them dying vs her. No happy endings here
I know what fan service is. I just assumed that there was so much demand for Lady Stoneheart showing up that anyone with an interest in GOT and a social media account would know who she is. In addition, the Azor Ahai prophecy was in the show and the show fans seem to be dissappointed in the lack of fighting from the WW. and like @justtxyank pointed out, the ulitmate fan service would be Jon vs. NK. I guess I assumed too much and we just don't agree. No big deal though.
Spoiler So basically everybody thought that the Game of Thrones (the fight for the iron throne) was the McGuffin and the Night King was the real enemy. They basically switched it that the Night King was the McGuffin and the Throne is the real story. I also think that there is a chance in the last 3 episodes that there will be a good reason the Battle of Winterfell went the way it did...and maybe the Night King served a bigger purpose than McGuffin that we don't know yet, perhaps related to Bran.
I'm with you on that. I'm not nearly excited for ep 4 as I was for ep 3. I'm thinking the Long Night is going to be a trap game and some hairy **** is going to go down in ep 4 though.
Well, the only thing that would lead me to agree is that, if they're really smart, they're going to make each episode increasing impactful. We'll see. I am actually curious to see how Varys dies. https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywoo...photos-varys-spymaster-targaryen-stark-schism
I agree with you on some crazy stuff going down. It can go pretty much in any direction now that the common enemy is gone. I just can't see this group of Jon, Dany, the Starks, and 2/3 of the Lannisters sticking together. They might start that way, but I think they inevitably turn on each other. There are so many different ways that could go down...I'm excited to see which way it goes. Does Jon kill Dany or vice-versa? Targs killing Targs? Does he stay loyal to the Starks since that's all he's known? Does Dany try to take out Sansa for not bending the knee, and does Arya have to step in to handle it? Does Jamie stay loyal to Cersei, thinking she's carrying his baby? So many options...
i think that just goes along with him having greensight. The ability to perceive future, past, or contemporary but distant events in dreams.
At this point, what benefit does Dany even gain from Sansa. Sansa is now just a Lady of a busted-up castle with 1,000s of dead men who need to be buried ... and a long-ass Winter to buckle down for. Oh, I guess Sansa still has Brienne to protect her. Sansa's not going to help Dany rebuild her lost Army. I'd expect Dany to fly over to Braavos to apply some dragon pressure on the Iron Bank to change the Golden Company's allegiance, before Dany gives a hoot about Sansa, anymore. Even at the end, if Dany wins, Sansa's Northern Alliance is dead, right?
It is, but b*tches be crazy. You could cut the tension between them with a knife. Dany has proven if you don't bend the knee, you could get torched. Also, the Iron Throne is supposed to rule the 7 Kingdoms, not 6 of the 7.
Arya is busy with her list, still, and she just learned the Sex, too. She'll forget about her sister.
