C's seemed to have been engaged with Green or Looney, but our forwards/guards
didn't seem to have a clue. SO many times the ball would come off the rim and
GSW players would swoop in untouched to grab the ball or put it right back up and in

Haha, sorry bud (and especially sorry you missed those years :( ) ... But houston at least got the Stros chip. So... Not near the history of a Cleveland. Don't get me wrong that's for baseball, but Houston still has a window regardless of this series, so don't lose hope yet. Even when the Rockets won in 94 and 95... The chips didn't come easy. Houston got that clutch City name for a reason. And Harden still has time, I'm still not counting this year out though, until it's all over.

This is def the life of a Rockets/houston sports in fan in general though. Those two b2bs have to be some of the most stressful series I've seen, but Soooo worth it. If you haven't watched it you should look up the NBA special on Clutch City

    No.

They need to play better. Game 2 wasn’t badly officiated at all. The Rockets turned it over like 10 times in the 1st quarter. Couldn’t secure offensive rebounds. These aren’t even “skill” things. These are basic, fundamental things that they aren’t doing right.

The starters basically dictated the final score. Here are their points scored:

    Harden 29, Durant 29 (0)
    Paul 18, Curry 20 (-2)
    Gordon 15, Thompson 21 (-6)
    Tucker 13, Iguodala 16 (-3)
    Capela 14, Green 15 (-1)
    HOU Bench 20, GS Bench 14 (+6)

Our starters were outscored by 12 but our bench outscored theirs by 6. We actually had a better chance of winning if D'Antoni played his bench more, but predictably he rode his starters to the max because of his poor in-game awareness.

We basically have to pray that our starters play better or hope D'Antoni actually makes an adjustment or two which will involve utilizing the bench more.

bench consisted of rivers that's it. yet you think playing the entire bench who completely sucked outside of rivers gives houston a better chance.

    stick to your day job

Both Rivers and Green played well and scored the 20 points. They should've played more, and Capela should've played way less. Even Shumpert, Faried, and Nene had a positive +/-

You're honestly a terrible poster with nothing original to provide besides insults. Muted

green has been terrible defensively. hes a foul machine and gets attacked constantly. he doesn't do enough to stay on the floor long enough.

oh shut up. mute me. i couldn't care less. it does me a favor so your idiotic posts won't be attempted to be replied to. i can just tell you how dumb they are. can't stand you couch coaches anyway.

There were comments by Durant just today that said how they prepared for the regular season match-ups against opponents was nothing compared to how they prepare for playoff match-ups. He said there was no comparison. The regular season...those guys are going through the motions and are more worried about team performance. In the playoffs, he said the amount of studying they do for individual match-ups, plays, tendencies, etc. is above and beyond. The regular season means jack now.

I thought Game 2 officiating was balanced and certainly better than Game 1 or even what I expected. But somehow, THIS keeps on happening.

I am defeated guys. The Rockets do not have enough firepower to win against the Warriors this year. Next year, the gap will be even worse. With emerging perennial power houses in Milwaukee, Denver and Philadelphia the chances only get bleaker. Only 1-3 teams ever win it all in a given decade and Houston’s window coincided with the Warriors window meaning we ended up losing to them each year. Our next window might be 5-10 years away. I might give up on professional basketball for good. I don’t know about the rest of you, but this is not fun anymore. Last year up to the middle of Game 6 was fun, but since then it has just been waiting for the disappointment to drop as it’s happening now.

so a historical great #1 seed beats a #4 seed twice at home is a reason to make you give up watching basketball?
